Through the 2006 Games in Turin, the most medals won in snowboarding by an athlete is two and has been accomplished by four competitors:

1) Philipp Schoch, Switzerland - gold in men's parallel giant slalom at the 2002 Games in Salt lake City and the 2006 Games in Turin.

2) Karine Ruby, France - gold in women's giant slalom at the 1998 Games in Nagano and silver in women's parallel giant slalom at the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City.

3) Ross Powers, United States - gold in men's halfpipe at the 1998 Games in Nagano and bronze in men's halfpipe at the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City.

4) Danny Kass, United States - silver in men's halfpipe at the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City and the 2006 Games in Turin.

There were no Winter Olympics Games in 2004. The Winter Olympics were held in 2002 and 2006.

The only competing continent that has not hosted a Summer Olympics Games is Africa. There have been Olympics held in Europe, Asia, North America, South America, and Australia. There was also no African city that had hosted the FIFA World Cup until 2010, so a future African venue for the Olympics is not impossible.

The only continent not represented in the Olympics is Antarctica, which has only scientists as permanent residents, and is by treaty an international scientific preserve.
