What do you need in a pencil case for sceondry school?
Depending on what school it can vary. But most Secondary Schools require this
-Pen
-Pencil
-Ruler
-Rubber
* Coloured Pencils(optional)
* Felt Pens(optional)
What do the initials hb on a pencil stand for?
its the HB graphite grading scale, for hardness and darkness of the graphite on paper. the higher the number, like a number 2 pencil, the harder the lead.
I haven't really heard this term before, but I think probably the closest thing would be something like Prismacolor's NuPastel. They are pastels that are almost like a cross between pastels, colored pencils and chalk. They come in hard sticks and are not surrounded by wood like a pencil.
Can you erase colored pencils?
If you rub hard enough, a regular eraser found on top of a pencil, or other kind of regular eraser will rub out colored pencil. If the colored pencil was drawn roughly on the paper, and pressed hard enough into the paper, the colored pencil cannot be rubbed out. You can try an ink eraser (the kind of eraser found on erasing ink pens), but it may or may not work.
What kind of pencils are best for black and white pencil sketches?
A number of pencils with a variety of hardness will provide the range needed for artistic pencil sketches. Soft pencils range from B to 9B and provide the depth and shadow that makes pencil sketches come alive. The harder H range is useful for sharp lines.
Is pencil shavings biodegradable?
No, pencil shavings are not biodegradeable. Because of the heavy ammounts of graphite and wood. They can, however be recycled into other pencils
A pencil's ferrule is the metal part that connects the wood with the eraser.
How are carpenter pencils better than regular pencils?
Carpenter pencils are better than regular pencils for a variety of reasons. The lead in carpenter pencils are strong and are able to withstand the stress of marking on hard surfaces. Carpenter pencils are also able to survive a construction environment such as being put into a bag accompanied by heavy tools. These reasons are why carpenter pencils are better than regular pencils.
for writing on non-porous and other difficult surfaces.
Another term is "grease pencil". It's got a core of a, well, greasy substance that rubs off onto the substrate and sticks there fairly well.
What is the purpose a pencil sharpener?
to open the carbon rod inside the wooden body of a pencil, to use for drawing and writing.
Really, it all depends on the buyer. That said, pencil lead can range from $1.00 USD - $10.00 USD. The variation is caused by the different sizes of lead available.
When were Crayola colored pencils introduced?
Edwin Binney and C. Harold Smith introduced their Crayola Crayons in a box of 8 in 1903.
The first colors were black, brown, blue, red, purple, orange, yellow, and green. 5 cents.
How do you write with a pencil?
Hold and press the pencil down and drag it across the paper to create friction between the lead and the paper and the lead will produce a mark on the paper which can be rubbed out.
You should already know this when you were 5 years old
There are many different shapes, sizes, and types of pencils. A common shape is round, about 7.5 mm dia., with graphite lead about 2.0 mm dia. Using the ratio of circular areas, we can estimate the wood content in this pencil at 93%. Most wooden pencils also have an eraser, attached with a bit of metal. By volume, then, this will dilute the wood content. In a new pencil 190 mm long, where 9 mm of that length is eraser, about 95% of the length is "wood". Therefore by volume the wood content reduces from 93% to about 88.5%. In terms of actual volume (and ignoring the metal ferrule), this pencil has an entire volume of 8.4 cc, a "wood" (plus lead) volume of 8.0 cc, or a wood only volume of about 7.4 cc. My coffee cup holds about 175 ml (about 6 fluid ounces), or 175 cc. That means my coffee cup could hold the wood from more than 23 pencils! I will not leave it to someone else to answer this question "by weight". Offhand, I think the test density of the medium density woods used in most pencils would be about 400 kg/m3 (specific gravity near 0.4 g/cc).
Glitter pens are in department stores. Also many online vendors carry them.
What are the instructions to pen tapping?
Pen tapping is easy, I use the one-pen style. Use a thick pen, hold it in the middle. Your wrist is the bass, clicking the end of the pen against the table is a click, and slapping it is snare. B=Bass, C=Click, S=Snare
4-beat rhythm:
BCSC BCSC
8-beat rhythm:
BCSCCBSC BCSCCBSC
16-beat rhythm:
BCBCSCCSCCBCSCCC BCBCSCCSCCBCSCCC
(Remove the C's for a general beat of any of these)
And one i made up:
BBSCBSCB BBSCBSCB
Try improvising, sorry but I don't know 32, 45, or 64 beat rhythms :(
Have fun.
OK to get more complicated you can use two pens. This will allow you to come up with more variety. What you will mainly use your not dominant hand for is to just do a Click. But, sometimes you will also use it as a Snare or Bass. Have fun adding the other hand to the equation and good luck coming up with new and cool beats.

Is there a kooky pen factory Where?
First you would take some air dry clay and mold it around the pen (in a Kooky shape) Then, find the hair material that they use to make the Kooky's hair. Rubber string is a suggestion. Oh, and do not forget to put some clay around the Kooky refill. This is how you will make the pen. Make a hole in the top of the clay. When the clay dries and the molded around refill does too, stick the molded around refill into the hole. You will need a spring. put the spring at the bottom of the hole. THEN insert the molded around refill. Make a hole at the bottom of the clay of the Kooky so the pen can stick out. Push down on the molded around refill. It will work! Paint the Kooky. This is all mixed up so let's review.
1. Buy all the supplies you need at your local art supply store. Buy Kooky refills at Kookys.com
2. Mold the Kooky shape. Make a small hole at the bottom and a large hole at the top. When it dries, paint. (Optional) Glaze it! Make it nice and shiny after painting.
3. Then take out the Kooky pen refill. Put clay all around the refill. When it dries, paint it. After, (again, optional) Glaze it to make it nice and shiny. Before it dries, put the stuff they make the Kooky Hair with on the top of the clay. Tie a string around the middle of the hair.
4. Insert a small spring into the big hole. Then the molded around pen refill. The pen should come out the small hole.
There you have it! Your very own Kooky pen! If you want, after the clay dries with the Kooky mold and you've glazed it, write in a sharpie the Kooky Krew, the name, the number, and TheKookys.com under it!
What materials do you need to make a pencil?
Pencils are made of wood, with a core of graphite. They are usually painted. Coloured pencils are generally made of a wax core which has a pigment added.
