Grass Oil was one of Jovan's most expensive fragrances to manufacture...and it started to disappear before the company became Quintessence -- and then sold off to Coty. I for one loved Grass Oil and since I did the PR back then in the late 70's early 80's I know that it was a favorite of the perfumer and management -- but simply too expensive to keep making - a real shame as it was a gem of a fragrance!

The oils used in perfume, whether it be patchouli or another variety, can serve many purposes. The oil can help with the longevity of the perfume's scent on the wearer, it can provide a nurturative effect to the skin, and in some cases can add its own unique scent into the perfume's particular blend.

This is just my view on what it smells like- it can smell different for different people, but this is just the most common opinion.

just did this tonight - after cleaning up the spilled perfume I first used an all natural odor remover typically for animals. Then I covered the tile with dry coffee grinds, then swept that up and swiffered the area allowing the coffee to get wet... when it dried I covered the area with baking powder. Then I covered the baking powder with more coffee... I've left it sitting for about 1 hour now absorbing hopefully - it smells significantly better, but that's not saying much because it was really bad... I hope that letting it sit will help.
