If it goes on for very long you should see your GYN to get some help with the problem.
Pregnency tests work after two weeks however you must also remember that they are not always accurate and the best way to know is to ask your doctor. Also if you are pregnant your period will not come.

Should you continue to take birth control pills even if you start bleeding during your active pills?
You should continue to take the birth control pill even if you experience breakthrough bleeding. Stopping the pill is more likely to make the bleeding worse instead of better, and stopping will end your pregnancy protection. If the bleeding is troublesome or associated with other symptoms such as painful urination, painful sex, pelvic pain, or abnormal vaginal discharge, see your health care provider.
Yes you could. Not everyone has all the symptoms. With my first I had very sore breasts, kept falling asleep in the car on the way home from work and had nausea every evening. (My husband put on weight because he was eating my dinner too.) With my second pregnancy I had none of these symptoms, and it was twins!!!
Do you still get period pains in the first month of pregnancy?
Yes you do get pains in the first month of pregnancy, however it doesn't end there. I was terrified as I had suffered a misscarriage in June of this year. I was convinced I was getting my periods as I was cramping a lot. When I didnt get them after a week I did a test and it was positive. Five days later I started bleeding and the cramping got unbearable. After a scan I realised I had miscarried. In August of this year the same thing happened; I was cramping a lot and I was pregnant. I associated this cramping with miscarriage and the fact that I had gotten pregnant so soon after terrified me. But I am now 12 weeks and nearly out of the danger zone. I still get cramps on and off so I take great comfort in knowing that it is normal. I havent had any bleeding or fever, just all the ailments of pregnancy (tiredness, nausea etc) which I try my best to enjoy because I know I'm so lucky.
Yes some girls have period pains in the first month but it doesn't always mean a miscarriage is on its way; sometimes you can get period pains and the baby is fine. You get period pains because your belly is stretching so there is enough room for the baby. It doesn't mean that there is going to be a miscarriage.
Is it possible to be pregnant even if you still got your period?
Yes it is, but normally it would be lighter than normal and shorter.
Once stopping birth control pill, because the hormons contained in the pill is withdrawing from your system, you will experience break through bleeding and erratic or irregular bleeding. You may also miss a period or several periods for the total amount of time the BCP is still in your system. BCP remains in your system for three full months before your body is completely rid of BCP. Because you missed your actual period then do a pregnancy test.
No, it does not always mean you have had a miscarriage. Women are different and so are all pregnancies. However, at this time call your Ob-Gyn or midwife. They will more than likely tell you to go to the ER. Tests will be ran there.
What is the reason for having two periods in one month at the age of 46?
Not an ailment, just the menopause. If it goes on too long or is worrying you see a doctor.
Blood tests are more accurate than urine tests.
Yes urine tests are no tth emost accurate form of pregnancy tests....although they are fairly accurate most of the time they can give out false negatives because you took the test too early ( before you skipped your period) or you took it too late in the day also the lower HCG level it is made to detect the better the blood test provides an exact count of HCG in your blood which is what determines pregnancy or not so yes you are pregnant CONGRATULATIONS good luck and God Bless!!!
Can you still have kids even if you have not had a period for a year and 3 months?
It depends why your periods have stopped. You need to find out why.
How long should you wait to check to see if your pregnant even after getting my period?
till u miss a period or get to your doctor for a blood test!!!
If you are off the pill then yes you can become pregnant. Generally it takes awhile for the pill to leave your system but it is not unheard of to become pregnant right after stopping the pill.
When should you get your period after child birth?
You shouldn't get your period if you are breast-feeding. But if you have decided not to breast-feed, your period should come at about 6-10 weeks later.
