you have been on birth control for along time. Your body really needs to have time to get it's natural clock back. I have heard people going upto a year with no period after stopping birth control. YES! All women feel different so if you have had your pregnancy comfirmed just be happy for every little signal your body is sending you :)) If you are within a week of conception there are no hotmones yet being produced so there would be no effect on your gastro-intestinal tract. If you have just missed your period you may well be feeling gassy, this is very common.
this could be signs of an early m/c or it could be normal. i sugguest calling your doctor & going for a check-up. sometimes m/c can be avoided if you limit your activities & sometimes it just means there was something wrong with the egg & sperm when they joined. good luck. Birth control pills are 98-99% effective and that is only when you take them everyday at around the same time. If you miss days, they become less effective. I was on birth control pills and took them everyday at the same time and got pregnnt.

If you are bleeding again on the 12th and you had your period on the 1st then this is normal if you have just started your periods within the last year. If you are on birth control, have irregular periods, are stress or worried about something then this will cause two periods in one month but see your doctor for a check up.
I would be concerned about a heavy bleed so early on in a pregnancy. You do need to get checked out by a gynaecologist to double check that you are still pregnant, as you may have miscarried. It could just be that your period was due about the same time and you bled as you normally would and the pregnancy could still be fine. -Thats not true at all. Some women can have their period throughout their entire pregnancy. I dont know if that is a sign of pregnancy but that happened to me. My second period was lighter and did not last as long and two weeks later i found out i was pregnant. It could be implantation bleeding so I would wait two weeks and take a test.
