What makes holes in lawns about the size of a quarter?
Most likely the offenders are voles. They will destroy your lawn, and make trails thru the grass, but you will need a pro for this one, as you dont want to toss poison on your lawn where a pet or a kid could get at it.
Is it possible for moth balls to absorb into food packages?
Yes! I stored several bags of Halloween candy in an old steamer trunk that had no mothballs, but still had a strong odor of mothballs years after I bought it at a yard sale. 6 months later I pulled the candy (still in its packaging) out of the trunk and tried some and found it tasted awful - the mothball chemical had gotten into the candy itself, despite being sealed in plastic and its individual wrapping.
Keep in mind that the chemicals in mothballs are highly toxic and carcinogenic - so do like I did and just throw it all out!
How do you eliminate spiderwort?
Cutting to the ground (after removing spent blossoms and once leaves decline) before solarizing and tilling prefatory to replanting with drought-tolerant covers or vegetation is a way to eliminate spiderwort. The (usually purple) flowering plant in question (Tradescantia spp) requires a moist soil so diverting rainfall and monitoring irrigation to dry the patch out will stress spiderwort, as will repeated harvesting for edible, salad-ready foliage. It will be important on the way to eradication to remove all spent blooms immediately since spiderwort seeds prolifically.

Has anyone used Zero Bug Zone?
Yes I have bought, four ZeroBugZone (www.zerobugzone.com) from Air Glaciers System units after seeing their informmercial on TV. I own a auto repair shop with 4 bays and we have mosquito problems. I figure any releif would be great. so i installed all four at once. One right in front of the entrance way into the store, two in the large garage, and one in the small garage. All the units are spaced out between 15-25 feet a part. Then I waited to see results. After three days, I did not see any difference. After a week, no difference, bugs are still everywhere. Flies and mosquitos, still annoy us. Not just one, but dozens. I figure it may need more time and more light. So I'll leave the lights on all the time, and even put lamps right next to it. Another week, no change... I'm a laughing stock now. They say there's a myth that if you hanging bags of regular water that's surpose to do the samething. I feel like i just bought some expensive water containers with a LED that lasted a day. So consumers beware. I will be returning the products.
Do you have to bag everything in your house before setting a flea bomb?
No, but I would not try to treat fleas yourself. The concentration needed to get permanent results are hard to achieve. Most flea "bombs" are a non residual product that is gone when things air out. (Hence-the problem) You just need to wipe down horizontal surfaces afterwards (there will be by products) Focus on areas with soft surfaces, pet resting areas, etc. Fleas like to dig & won't live on tile/concrete. If a small job, a product like Precor 2000 is superior to bombing which will mostly get adults only.
