Obviously, Peter Pan. However, Wendy, Michael, John and Captain Hook are also very important. Peter Pan is a great play that way: There are so many unique roles, and so many oppurtunities to shine!

Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy is about an ex British spy, George Smiley, who is forced into retirement when a respected agent turns up dead. As the Cold War escalates, he is secretly called back into service to uncover a suspected Soviet double agent. Leads are few and mostly dead ends. In the mean time the investigation takes an interesting turn when Control draws up a list of five suspects, one being Smiley himself.

In the original play she is a Newfoundland. In the Disney adaptation she became a St Bernard.

Because she drank the poison Captin Hook was supposed to give to Peter Pan!

BUT... she did survive because of peter pans beliefs and the childrens.. and now she is alive and has now got her own movie wich i have got all 3 so watch them if you don't believe me that she is alive. she also has fell out with peter pan in the last book i read of the Disney fairy collection.

In the movies Tinker Bell is most definitely a female character. During the times though when plays were more common than movies/TV, males would sometimes be casted at Tinker bell due to high and weight restriction's, and strength requirements. This was because they needed the actor to be light/short enough to make "fly" around the stage and the strength to support them while doing this. Even though the character may be casted as a male actor, it is indeed a female character.

Peter Pan is a mythical character, spontaneously created, and has no parents or normal family life. a vaguely Robin-Hood llike costume to fit the boy who never grows up, so to speak. In fact the same costume has been sold for both Robin Hood (usualkly with archery gear) and Peter Pan, a very early form of camouflage get-up. For some odd reason female actresses are often cast in the role such as the late Mary Martin and more recently Sandy Denny ( who also played Pinocchio, another male character) Shirley Temple did some male roles also, maybe more tractable than little Rascals types but it is odd. Odd in #3.00 bill sense?
