Phantom of the Opera Movie

Phantom is a very old story. It first was written in 1910 by Gaston Leroux which was a novel. The first movie was with Lon Chaney 1925 which Leroux was able to see it before he died in 1927. Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera was written for stage 1986 his music that is heard today. Comparing it to Twilight is like trying to compare Red Riding Hood to Shakespeare. Phantom deals with undying love and obsession and how man responds to not being able to get what he wants. The obsession turns him into a monster ( that is how he views himself more than what he really is in life). Twilight is just a new take on an old tale of vampires. There is a bit of obsession to it, but it is on a level of teen first love with a bit of special effects. They can not be compared.

In the 2000 London production of "The Phantom of the Opera," the role of the Phantom was played by John Owen-Jones. He is known for his powerful vocal performance and has taken on the role in various productions over the years. The show, which has been a long-running success in the West End, showcases Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic music and a compelling storyline.

Christine Buchegger died on March 3, 2014, in Munich, Bavaria, Germany of complications from surgery.

Earl Ciel Phantomhive- born on December 14, 1875 is the business-savvy, egotistical 12-year-old (13-year-old as of chapter 14) and the head of the English Phantomhive noble family after the deaths of his parents, Lord Vincent Phantomhive and Lady Rachel Phantomhive. He runs the Funtom Company, which manufactures toys and sweets, with the later addition of a food branch after winning a Royal Warrant. His right eye, which is usually covered with a black eye patch, bears a pentacle, the sign of the Faustian contract he made with the demon Sebastian. Sebastian says that the mark on Ciel is proof of their contract. He also says that demons mark their prey so that they can locate them. He is usually portrayed as emotionless, un-childlike, though he occasionally expresses concern for the well-being of the few close to him; Sebastian is not one of those people. He sometimes portrays himself as a happy person, but soon returns to his true self. He is close with his cousin and fiancée Elizabeth, seeing her as an important girl he wants to protect. Although he gets easily annoyed by her, he cares deeply for her and doesn't like seeing her sad or hurt. Before the loss of his parents, Ciel seemed to be a happy childlike child. Ciel is proficient with the use of guns, keeping a number of concealed guns nearby in order to protect himself. He has asthma, which was inherited from his mother.

The mirror symbolizes how he doesnt want to see his inner self. Society has told us that if we dont look a certain way then were ugly. He felt ugly so instead of looking in the mirror and being haunted with his "ugliness" everyday he covers them so he doesnt have to see himself.

I think I can answer my own question. Andrew Lloyd Webber was sued by the Puccini estate for plagiarizing this melody and settled out of court. Apparently Lerner and Lowe may also have plagiarized it.
