my thoughts are that I have been hurt by people I trusted and have withdrawn. I am not anxious I am more just choosing not to associate with others in a social way. I don't like gossipy people who think its wise to talk about my neighbors in an ugly fashion behind their backs and then smile to their face. No I don't mean I think people are talking about me its just when things get back to you your hurt and when its family and friends I feel its time to find new friends and cool it with hurtful family members/ Life is too short to allow others to hurt you emortionally and threaten you physically. elderly and my family treats me like I am useless and in their way--when they need something they call otherwise they do the big sigh and say oh mother . They are in their late 40.s so they should know better. As I said I just keep to myself and leave every one alone. What name given to phobia fear of lawsuits?
There is no name.
There is no such thing as a "phobia fear" - this is a nonsense phrase: a phobia is a persistent state of anxiety attached to a particular object and/or situation.
A fear is not an anxiety. A fear may be rational, or irrational.
Law suites may arouse several different thoughts and feelings in a person. These may be experienced as a confusion of thoughts and feelings, eg. as an 'inner turmoil' characterised by persistent inability to focus the mind and/or the emotions. None of these is a phobia.

What is the fear of losing someone?
Separation anxiety? It depends on the situation, but unlike spiders (arachnophobia) or heights (acrophobia), I don't think the fear of losing someone is as simple so to be summed up in one ____phobia word. Adjustment disorder? Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Many people with Borderline Personality Disorder also struggle with a pivotal fear of loss (and rejection). I believe in your case, the context would come in very handy.
Hope that helps a bit-- I'm not a medical professional or qualified to provide any sort of definitive answer to your question. But if this is something that's really been bothering you, it might not hurt to consult someone who is.
Best of luck,

What is a fear of being off the ground called?
There are people on the web who say that the scientific name is "Inverseverticalitis." This is complete crap of course and utterly made up. Any kind of clinically diagnosed fear will have the Greek-derived suffix "-phobia" attached to it. The suffix "-itis" is used in medical terminology to indicate some sort of inflammation. As far as anyone knows, inflammation has absolutely nothing to do with fear of being upside down or any other phobia that we are aware of. So until someone comes up with a proper scientific name for this, just tell people you're afraid of being upside-down.
What is the fear of being held down?
This is a very common fear, however there is no technical name like "claustrophobia" simply because it in itself is not a phobia. I heard somewhere that it has to do with OCD and even people without OCD can have this fear. It really is just the fear of being restrained.

What phobia is the stage fright?
When I ask people what it is that they fear most about speaking in front of a group, there is one answer I can count on: "Looking foolish, or being made fun of." And if I probe a little further - to discover the roots of this very specific fear - there is almost always one event or period of time that's responsible. For many it's Elementary or Junior High School, the time when most of us were called upon to make our first class presentation, frequently accompanied by giggles, strange looks and unkind words from our classmates. What is sad to ponder is that your class presentation may have been excellent! You may have appeared calm and well prepared, and yet an immature audience left you with a memory that has wandered the corridors of your mind all these years . . . and taken from you the desire to speak in public. But you have grown up. So, too, has your audience. They will not make faces or say unkind things.

Why is the word describing the fear of LONG words so LONG?
One theory is that, since the fear of words is, in itself, an odd fear, it takes a lot of Latin prefix/suffix combinations to build a word of similar meaning.
Another theory is that, y'know, it's just meant to be ironic. ;)

Hydrophobia, the fear of water can be caused by any number of things. Something involving water that frightened you as a child and left emotional scars; seeing someone drown perhaps; who knows. It should not interfere too much with your life but if it does, professional help is indicated.
new answerWater, in language of mind represents experience, that provides the means for us to learn. If I was counseling one who is afraid of water, I would examine how the person relates to experience. If the person is not doing well with experiences in general, there are probably other difficulties related such as asthma, allergiesl, etc. The absence of these may indicate a problem from another lifetime. A reading would be in order. SomedayHow do you get rid of a fear of the dark?
Face your fear. Spend time in the dark.
But you have to be prepared to face it, I mean, you don't just go up to a bunch of spiders if you are afraid of spiders. You should do things like start with dim lights, then dim them even more until you are okay with total darkness, then walk around your house in total darkness, then learn to do a lot of things in the darkness, then finally learn to sleep in total darkness.
And remember that noises you hear at night time are nothing unusual. They happen all day, but during the night time you are not focusing on anything else and notice things you would not normally notice during the day.
At night people think only of scary things in the dark. They see things, hear tham etc. The rason behind that is that they just think of scary things in their minds and then get scared on the slightest of noise or movememt. If you concentrate on sleep then you will forget it and sleep in a sound manner,
