When the original Cavern was demolished to make way for a shopping center called Cavern Walks the Cavern Club was rebuilt on the opposite side of Matthew St and 4000odd bricks were cleaned and sandblasted with the names of all the groups who ever played at the original cavern club.and set into the front of the building.
