What is the volume of Jupiter?

Jupiter's volume is approximately 1.43 x 10^15 cubic kilometers.

What is the circumference of the sun?

The sun is approximately 4,366,813 kilometers (2,713,406 miles) in circumference.
The circumference of the Sun is approximately 4,366,800 km

If a person was on Jupiter would they float in the sky?

No, because Jupiter has a graviational pull that is 2.5 times stronger than Earth's.

How cold is Io?

Io, one of Jupiter's moons, is extremely cold, with surface temperatures averaging around -143 degrees Celsius (-225 degrees Fahrenheit). However, temperatures can vary significantly, particularly near its active volcanoes, where they can reach higher levels due to volcanic activity. The harsh conditions make Io one of the most geologically active bodies in the solar system despite its frigid environment.

How do you describe Jupiter?

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, the fifth planet from the Sun and the nearest of what are known as the Outer Planets. It is what is known as a gas giant, and has no solid surface but is made up mostly of the gas Hydrogen, although a quarter of it's make-up consists of Helium and other gases including ammonia- some of it also consists of water. It has a mass that is one thousandth that of the Sun, but 2.5 times greater than all the other planets in the Solar System combined; it is believed to have an inner core consisting of liquid and molecular Hydrogen. It's ability to reflect Solar light makes it the third brightest object in the night sky after our own Moon and Venus; a prominent feature of it's surface is the 'Great Red Spot', believed to be a gaseous storm that has been going on since at least the 16th Century when first observed by Galileo through a telescope. Its Solar orbit takes 11.86 Earth years; and it has 69 moons, four of which can be viewed from Earth by telescope. These are Io, Ganymede, Europa and Callisto, and are called the 'Galilean Moons'. Ganymede has a solid icy surface beneath which is believed to lie liquid water several hundred kilometres deep, and may possibly harbour primitive forms of aquatic life. An ESA probe known as the Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer is due to be launched there in 2022.

Can you see Jupiter be seen at night with out a telescope yes or no?

Yes, Jupiter can be seen at night without a telescope. It is one of the brightest objects in the night sky and can often be spotted with the naked eye. Its distinct brightness and position among the stars make it relatively easy to identify.

What is more powerful earth's F5 tornado or Jupiter's red spot?

It depends on what criteria you use. The Great Red Spot produces winds of about 270 mph. An F5 tornado can produce winds faster than this, in some cases over 300 mph. The winds of even the largest tornado, though, are limited to an area a couple miles wide and the strongest winds affect an even smaller area. The Great Red Spot is many thousands of miles across, larger than our entire planet, and so carries much more kinetic energy than any storm on Earth.

Which planet has the shorter travel time in light years Jupiter or venus?

To start off, a light year is not a unit of time, it is a unit of distance; it is the distance that light travels in a year.

Jupiter has a longer orbit than Venus, regardless of what unit of time you use.

The discovery of the moons of jupiter lent support to which system?

The discovery of the moons of jupiter lent support to. the heliocentric system. If you apply equal forces to a cement truck and a compact car.

Is it possible for Jupiter's moon IO to have habitability?

No. Io is subject to intense volcanic activity and is bombarded by radiation funneled by Jupiter's magnetic field, making it one of the least hospitable worlds in the solar system.

How many hours on Jupiter in a day?

Jupiter is not only the largest planet in the solar system, it's also the fastest

rotating. Jupiter's "day" ... the time it takes to complete one axial rotation ...

is only 9Earth hours and 56Earth minutes.

Have anyone visited Jupiter?

No person has visited Jupiter the closest we have been is to observe the planet with high powered telescopes.

Is Jupiter one of the inner plantets?

Jupiter is not one of the inner planets. The solar system has four inner planets, which starting with the one that is closest to the sun are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars, followed by the asteroid belt (which is a division between the inner and outer system) and then the four outer planets, which are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. After that are various dwarf planets, and the comets.

Is there a shield around Jupiter that protects it from meteors and comets?

Any meteor or comet will burn up in Jupiter's incredibly thick atmosphere.

How much bigger is Jupiter compared to stars?

It's smaller. The Sun is almost 10 times the size of Jupiter, and it's not considered a large star.

What is the length of time that it takes the sun to orbit Jupiter?

The sun does not orbit Jupiter ! Jupiter takes just under 12 of our years to revolve around the sun once.
