Well there are probably a few answers for this question. One reason is the temperature on Mars. The temperature on Mars can reach -184˚F on long polar nights which, needless to say, is far to cold for any human being. The mean temperature on mArs is -51˚F. Also, there is oxygen on Mars just not enough to sustain life, but when getting oxygen from Earth it would never run out unless of course all plant life died. If we just established a structure on Mars that is suitable for life than you can create oxygen. Just sayin'. But we can't live on Mars currently because Mars has no magnetic field to protect us from cosmic radiation, much less atmospheric pressure than here on Earth meaning if we stepped outside of the human structure on Mars we would need a space suit because our body would swell up. Just like how we can't live in water, not enough oxygen and if you go deep enough theres too much pressure and you would die.
