How do you beat Charizard in Pokemon Ranger?
First, get to the top of the Jungle Relic (Challenge of Fire). You will meet the Go-Rock Quads. After talking with them, a Charizard standing behind them becomes hurt by the Go-Rock Quad's horrible attempts at capturing it. Charizard will start flying to the different pads scattered about the Challenge of Fire room. Beat it to the pad it's heading to and it will land on you and start the capture. (PS. It blows fire on the ground, don't touch it, it does 4 damage!)
Methods of captureThe Charizard you first encounter in the Challenge of Fire is very hurt and upset. Its raging attacks will constantly get in the way of your capture styler's line. I suggest that you paralyse it with a charge from your Plusle or Minun. Charizard will be effected by this attack well, as it is half Flying-type.
If you managed to capture any Water-type Pokemon, use them here. Also, don't hold back if you have a Fighting-type PokeAssist with you (it doubles the loops made already). Be aware that Charizard will spit fire that will no doubtedly get in your way. Avoid these at all costs as they severely drain your Styler's energy.
If you can, paralyse Charizard just after its attacks fade. This way you have more room to draw the capture lines.
After you cature and free the hurt charizard you will have to find him again. When you find him in the relic forest he'll be spitting fire all over the forest and burning the trees. Your going to be with one of the leaders of the ranger base, she'll want you to capture him. If you get the fuzz brown type Pokemon that is near the water long it will be alot easier to capture the charizard. Since the charizard is more hurt than he was before its harder to capture him so must Pokemon will not effect him. Its also hard to past his raging tempure. he'll keep spitting fire in the air and it will land everywhere so you need either an ice Pokemon or water and it will help.
Ithought you couldn't pokeassists until the second time because you have to let go of all of youre Pokemon (except plusle/minon) because it's not in it's natural habitat.
One effective thing to do is by getting some water poke-assists. keep pumping a lot of bubbles towards Charizard so that once it it free from one bubble, it immediately gets captured by another bubble. After you have around 4-5 bubbles waiting to capture Charizard, CIRCLE LIKE CRAZY!!!

- First off make sure you have not battled the kid with a slowpoke beyond nugget bridge and you have not defeated the gambler between lavender town and saffron city.
- Second make sure you have a Pokemon that knows Fly and the gym badge needed to use it.
- Now go to lavender town by whatever means necessary.
- Go to left towards saffron city (don't battle anyone), eventually you'll see a small building that will take you to celadon. Go inside the building but come out immediately afterwards (you should be facing down and the door is at your back).
- Save your game (this will be the most difficult part); now take one step down and press start (if you don't the gambler will battler you, in which case turn off and try again). If successful you should have your menu up and the gambler should be a while below you.
- Use Fly to get the cerulean city, as soon as you do the gambler will notice you and the game will begin to act weirdly as you just tricked it into having a battle without actually battling.
- Once you get to cerulean you should notice that your buttons won't work, so just walk up the the slowpoke (don't talk to him) and when you are before him make sure you go as far up as you can go and then move into his line of sight (he should move toward you).
- Beat him up and then Fly back to Lavender town (you buttongs will work now) then try walking toward that gambler again, as you go pass the narrow passageway the menu should pop up by itself. Exit this menu and you'll battle Mew.
It has been mentioned a lot that by trading a Pokemon that knows Cut onto your game before you go on the ship you can go around the game until you get surf and then you go back to the ship and use surf to swim behind the ship and you'll see a truck. I have never actually seen such thing, however the above glitch will work and there are videos on YouTube that show this.

AnswerThe last answer above IS WRONG. On Pokemon Emerald you only need the national dex to trade with Pokemon on versons Firered and Leafgreen. Once you are able to trade with Ruby and sapphire you can trade and use your Pokemon in Pokemon Colosseum. Beating the game isn't required to do this. Matter of fact one can play for only 13 minute and be able to connect with Pokemon Colosseum. And because of kids randoming answering questions like the answer above is the reason why you cant use WIKI as a college refference. Let alone a agrument/disscusion in REAL LIFE.
