Save and now go to the Gameboy tower and choose your yellow/red then look in the box you put the Pokemon in or your party and look theres the Pokemon you got from the other version!..But this comes with a extreme bad thing if you try putting Pokemon like kadabra in the N64 box and put it in your other game it will NOT evolve to alakazam. If this step is too long for you you can resort to the short and good way: Third and finally the easiest other way to trade with red and yellow is if you have 2 N64 transfer paks and 2 N64 controllers you hook up the paks and put in Red in one and Yellow in the other then go to Oaks lab and choose the black machine its a trading machine now you can trade but you have to have the Pokemon your trading in your party to trade and the best part about this trading is the fact then when you trade Pokemon like kadabra WILL evolve to alakazam. It depends on what you prefer. Everything has a weakness. My personal favorite - Charizard - is pretty much dead when put against electric or water types. However, it is generally accepted that Mewtwo is the ultimate pokemon from the originals. However, because it is psychic, bug and ghost type moves will still super effect it. Dragonite is nearly unstoppable, unless you have ice power, or another dragon type.

1. play fr/lg and trade starter** (squirtle, bulbasuar, or charmander) to r/s/e.
2. Restart, choose a different starter, and repeat trade
3. Restart once more but don't trade starter this time. instead send all starters* back to fr/lg
4. Play either r/s/e and choose a starter** (mudkip,treecko, or torchic)
5. Complete the Hoenn dex.***
6. Visit Birch in his lab and he will let you pick a Jhoto starter (totodile,chikorita, or cyndaquil)
7. Trade both starters* from r/s/e to fr/lg
8. Restart the r/s/e game and open a new one.
9. Choose a new started and ,after completing the dex again, a new jhoto starter. trade, restart, and selct a new game just like before.
10. This time, choose the only starter and jhoto starter you don't have.
11. final step!!!! Either: a.) trade r/s/e starters to fr/lg
b.) trade fr/lg starter to r/s/e

I haven't played in a while so this may not be accurate but, you have to go to bill (i forgot the name of the town but its the one with misty's gym in it- the second/water gym) north of their, you have to fight Gary and a few trainers on the way, but after you get to a house, theirs a Pokemon in their, talk to it and basically it goes into a machine and turns back into bill who then give you the ticket.
