How is a rising sea level affecting the polar bear?
Polar bears aren't much troubled by the rising sea levels, as they aren't particularly interested in what goes on at the coastline anyhow.
The big problem for the polar bears is the temperature. The warmer it gets, the longer it takes for the ice to form. and polar bears use the ice sheet to hunt for seals from.
Why is it coldest in the polar regions?
Because the sun doesn't shine in those parts of the world so the temparature isn't high
Why is weathering faster in polar regions?
why weathering is faster in tropics than in the polar region
Is a polar bear predator or prey?
The Polar Bear is an Apex Predator. Seals are the preferred diet/prey for Polar Bears. Most of its diet consists of ringed or bearded seals. They are also known to hunt and kill adult Walruses and even Beluga Whales.
No other animal is known to kill or consume the Polar Bear. So, they are not prey to any other species of animals
Eat gold and wait for a little bit. when it comes out.... wash it.
All bears, including polar bears, are warmblooded animals.
Note that the terms "warmblooded" and "cold-blooded" have fallen out of favor with scientists, due to the vagueness of the terms.
How is rising sea level affecting the polar bears?
The rising sea levels are not affecting the polar bears, The cause of the sea level's rise is effecting them. The sea levels are rising because the ice in Arctic regions is melting. This changes where seals can rest and breed which reduces the ease of the polar bears finding food. The lack of ice also presents difficulties when they want to rest from swimming and when they want to travel quickly over the frozen sea.The climate change thus reduces their food and their energy expenditure. This leads to starvation and death
Why are North pole bears not able to eat penguins?
Any bears that might happen to live at the North Pole, such a s polar bears, do not eat penguins for the simple Eason that penguins do not live at the North Pole. Penguins are found only in the Southern Hemisphere.
Can polar bears eat anything when they're really hungry like humans?
Polar bears are forgers and they eat fish, berries, and seals. They will attack a human if cornered, feel threatened, or if they have cubs but bears don't "eat" people. A polar bear is a big strong bear and very mean so they are not the type of bear to encounter.
Most bears will eat human food if they can find it. Polar bears do get into garbage cans, break into homes, and will rummage for food. They eat fish, seals, and male polar bears have been known to track baby bears and eat them. There was one NatGeo show I saw where a male bear went after a mother bear and her two cubs. He tracked them for days and the mother bear did everything she could to keep him from the cubs. He got one after several days.
How long before polor bears go extinct?
Hard to say. They may never go extinct. But I've heard some people say they will go extinct in 20 years (lowest estimate I've heard).
<><><>
In some cases, polar bear population is increasing, in some, decreasing. UN staff indicate that they COULD become extinct in a century, but the changes in population growth could mean they wil not become extinct.
How have polar bears adapted to live in Antarctica?
Polar bear has thick fur on its body which helps it to live in extremly cold region .Its feets are thick which helps it to move on snow. -Ishika luthra
Why do the polar regions have high albedo?
Because snow reflects light more than non-white regions of the Earth and albedo is
a measurement of reflectance. By definition white reflects all visible light therefore albedo is greatest .
