Sonny Willis (Mr. Willis) is a director to many Greensboro Day School plays and musicals. He recently completed HONK! Jr. with the fifth and sixth graders at GDS. How do you bleed the breaks on a 1966 Thunderbird is there any other way than pumping the breaks?

It takes longer this way, but you can crack open the bleeder valves on all four wheels then remove the master cylinder cap and fill with break fluid, keep an eye on the bleeder valves and when they start dripping shut then off as they drip. Refill and replace the master cylinder and cap then bring the engine up to temp. Don't go anywhere yet. Test the brakes with a smooth push of the break pedal, easy does it and you may have pump them up. Now shut down the engine open the master cylinder and wait until the engine compartment cools down to ambient temp.. Then refill and replace master cylinder cap and repeat, sometimes you have to wait overnight for the air to migrate up to the master cylinder. I have had to do it this way when I had no one around to help, good luck, jja

How difficult and big of a task is changing all interior wiring of a 1996 Jeep Cherokee?

Do you really want to tackle this project? Jeep are the worst thing to get to under the dash. A mechanic gets 28 hrs to put a heater core in under the dash. The big problem you have is tearing the dash completely out so you can just work on it. Have fun and I'm glad its not me.

Is a small amount of water coming from the auto exhaust a bad thing?

It's normal condensation. That's why you can see your exhaust more in the winter when the air is cold. Just a little side bar fact: people that usually drive short distances periodically (like if you work a couple miles from your house) have there mufflers rust a part quicker due to the fact that the condensation doesn't get blown all the way out of the exhaust so it causes internal rusting. It's condensation unless it smells 'sweet'. If it has a definite anti-freeze sweet smell then this would suggest a leaking head gasket. If it's just a little water, especially during short drives, don't worry about it.

Is it safe for two novice hunters to go bear hunting together?

Probably if they are strapped back to back. Otherise, should they separate, especially if rainy or dark, it could be hazardous. When you say novice do you mean that neither has ever been before? If that is the case then I would very strongly advise against you going without someone knowledgeable in that area. I suggest that you hire an experienced guide.

What might cause a 2000 Nissan Maxima not stay running in the cold?

I'm not familiar with your particular model, but here are a few things that might help. It might just need a tune-up. If the vehicle hasn't received a proper tune-up or service, go buy it a set of sparkplugs and plug wires, a new air filter, a new fuel filter, oil and oil filter, and maybe an upstream oxygen sensor. It may not fix it, but the increase in gas mileage will pay for itself in 5 or 6 months depending on how nicely you drive your vehicle. Other things to look at would be the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve, the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve, the manifold Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor, the Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS), the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve, or it could even be just a simple vaccuum leak. I always encourage vehicle up-keep. Tune-ups almost always pay for themselves in a short time because of the better gas mileage, increased power (both are very noticable) and overall driver satisfaction (priceless) which is... like I said, PRICELESS! That and it makes your car a little more ozone friendly.
