Which Indian tree provides oxygen round the clock?

Answer

Peepal Tree

Peepal too is a veritable storehouse of pure air, emitting oxygen round-the-clock. If there is no Peepal tree around the house horticulturists suggest that it would be beneficial to keep a couple of Peepal plants in pots, inside or outside the house, to rid the interiors of pollution.

How land pollution can be reduced?

Well one obvious solution would be recycling...Not only does it keep our trash off of our land and out of our soil but it reuses our waste and conserves energy...Using biodegradable products also helps...Not littering and picking up trash one sees on the ground can help and reusing things yourself. You don't necessarily have to take your recycled trash to a recycling place but you can reuse glass bottles at home for foods, storage, decoration, etc. also with plastic bottles, old ice cube trays, old bedframes, etc... And disposing of harmful chemicals the proper way is also another way to prevent land pollution.

RECYCLE!!!

1) Using reusable products, so that natural resources are not overly exploited is a good first step in preventing land pollution.

2) Not littering while going on picnics will prevent pollution at the location.

3) Taking along your own bags while going to the neighborhood grocer, buying products with little packaging or buying in bulk so as to reduce packaging will result in less addition of pollutants.

4) Limiting the use of plastics, and going in for biodegradable products will cause less long term damage to the land.

What is acid rain how does it affect plants and the environment and the steps society can take to help reduce its effects?

Acid rain comes from Gaseous Sulfur evaporating into the air. When it goes into the clouds, it reacts with the water vapor to make sulfuric acid. Then, when the cloud turns into water droplets, it brings the sulfuric acid down with it, typically in low concentrations.

This will erode any substance with Calcite (a mineral) in it. Since Limestone and marble have this mineral, many buildings, statues, and surfaces are affected by acid rain. However, this affect will only be significantly felt by long term exposure.

We can curb the problem by using materials other than limestone for buildings and by "washing" chemical plant towers that emit Sulfur. "washing" involves sending water down the stacks to catch the sulfur and wash it down to a separation area below.

Is there mining pollution in Asia?

Yes, there is pollution from mining in Asia. There is the "standard" problem with the burning of fossil fuels like gas and diesel to recover ore, and with coal to produce the electricity used in conjunction with mining. The processing of the material leaves a very large pollution footprint, and it's far larger than the mining operations. China in particular has problems. It has burst onto the world metal markets in the last couple of decades, and the Chinese trash their environment to capture an increasingly larger market share.

How to describe a mining pan?

If you mean a gold pan, it is a shallow metal or plastic pan, about 12-14 inches in diameter, with sloping sides, usually a dark color. Modern day pans may have small grooves in the bottom to aid in capture of gold.
