Ty. I would prefer to have them outside when we are not home, unless the weather is terrible, I have two guinea pigs. :) We would let the dog inside when we were home though, and take it onlots of walks.
All dog breeds, as far as I know, are all high energy when they are puppies. I have a 5 year old dachsund mix who is high energy at times, but other than that she is the best lap dog ever. Get an older shelter dog if you are not into high energy. And stay away from tiny breeds, chihuahua, pomeranian, etc. And any working dog breed, husky, collie, shepards, etc. They become high energy because they need lots of exercise and work. I have two pure poodles and poodles are just great. If you want a dog and are worried that you may have allergies, get a poodle and you will be very happy with him/her. Some people just don't like the silly haircuts that you do to poodles but I don't do that to my dogs. That style is just for shows.
