Those would be called a back-cross, where you're crossing a hybrid back to one of it's parent breeds. More specifically, that would be a second generation back-cross golden doodle (assuming the parent doodle was a first-gen cross). There's an abbreviation as well but I don't remember it...'F1b', maybe ?

I know that there are exceptions to every rule, but I have a miniature poodle (22 pounds) that is 17 years old and still getting on quite well. He has a little arthritis in his hips, can't see too well due to cataracts and his hearing has diminished, but the little guy still loves to ride on the golf cart, bark at the ducks and has a great appetite. Also still very affectionate. His favorite meal? A Sonic Junior Deluxe Burger, which he has 3 times a week. Hey, at his age, what the heck. I highly recommend a poodle for most considering a dog. There is a stigma out there that poodles are little yappers that old ladies carry around. NOT SO. I have had two of them, and they are what you make them. Mine are quite macho little guys that catch Frisbees, love to run, great watchdogs, great travelers, extremely smart and easy to train. If they have a fault, it might be their initial attitude toward small children. Mine have been slow to accept them and a little nervous around them. Given time to get to know them, they love them and even get protective of them.

You need to read your local paper and compare prices in the Pet Ads. Also try your local Animal Shelter or Humane Society. They often get lots of pure breeds. Just check them on a weekly basis or let then know what you are looking for. If you have to have one that is AKC registered, check with your local Veterinarian for a good and ethical breeder. There are too many backyard breeders out there. A person should only be breeding to BETTER the breed and do health checks on the breeding stock before breeding them. Read up on Toy Poodles and educate yourself as what to look for in a good quality animal. Do the parents have any health problems, that are typical in that breed such as loose cruciates, bites that are incorrect, eye problems, etc. That is why it is so important to find a Good breeder who cares about the breed. Or give one a good home that is homeless if you don't care about showing, etc.

If you are buying a webkinz poodle then it is $15.00 for big ones, and $10.00 for lil' kinz. but if you are buying a real life poodle I do not know the exact price, but they are probably more than $100.00

Dogs are much like humans and you MUST keep a dog cool when the weather is suddenly hot. Sounds like you're moving to a warmer climate. Keep the dog indoors more often than not and in early evening go outside with your pet when it cools off. Little by little let the dog outside with you for short periods of time until it get's use to the heat. Of course I need not tell you to NOT leave the dog in your car unattended or, leave the dog outside (even if there is shade) while you are out. Keep the dog in the cool of your home (hope you have A/C.) I have friends that moved from British Columbia, Canada to Savannah and they did the above. Savannah was hot and muggy and it was hard on their dog at first, but she's doing well now.

It depends on the size of the poodles. The largest poodle is between 22 and 25 inches from shoulder. This is a standard. A miniature is between 10 and 15 inches from shoulder and a toy poodle is under 10 inches from shoulder and below.
