Try eating your larger meal in the afternoon and having a much lighter meal in the evening.Short frequent meals low in sugar and carbs tend to weigh you down. A high salt content in your food can also cause the retention of water in the body and lead to bloating. Try to go for walks after eating. Green tea in the morning speeds up the old body. If any of this works then great! If not, it could be something a little more major.

Although I have been off Prednisone, I am still experiencing the side effects, especially the weight gain and the "moon face", and have heard from my doctor that it can take more than 12 weeks for the drug to be completely eliminated from your body. Fortunately, I have noticed a slight decrease in my side effects over the past week, and have been told that the side effects slowly disappear over a period of time that can be more than 3 months, depending on the individual. So, don't worry. I freaked out because I thought my side effects should have been gone by now, and then learned that it can take longer than you might expect, but they will go away eventually! Also, if you have IBD/Crohn's, and maintanance medicines such as azathioprine/Imuran or methotrexate have not been working for you, I recommend Remicade or Humera! I felt better instantly and my symptoms disappeared, allowing me to taper from Prednisone immediately! Although Remicade can have rare but serious side effects, I have not noticed any in my daily life.
