Actually the first person to answer your question is correct. To feel the effects of medicines like Prozac, Celexa, a generic form, or Citalopram, another generic form, you must take the medicine everyday for at two weeks so the SSRI's or the serotonin-specific reuptake inhibitors build up enough in your brain to help relieve mild anxiety. Just taking a pill of Prozac and smoking weed will not cause horriffying effects

The most important thing you need to understand is that Prozac dosage has to be evaluated almost constantly for the first 8 weeks or so after starting it or altering the dosage. What this means for your question about mixing cannabis with it is that you certainly should not take cannabis for that 8 week period. Also keep in mind that during or even at the end of that 8 week period your doctor may want to alter the dosage. This is actually quite common and what that means is it could be quite a while before you can think about taking cannabis after starting out on Prozac.

However, I guess part of the answer would have to include the fact that you should never take Prozac with alcohol as this can cause serious anger problems. So if you have been on your dosage for more than 8 weeks and are thinking of taking cannabis very rarely as an alternative to alcohol you might like to try a very small amount to see how it goes. Yes I did. It worked better for me than decreasing does of Effexor from 225mg. I immediately stopped taking Effexor 225mg. Then started with 20mg of Fluoxetine (Prozac) for first week then go to 10mg for second week. I got a 30 day supply of 10mg. Take 2 per day 10 mg for first week..then 1 per day 10mg second week. then throw out the rest. No side effects for me at all. Doctor here in Atlanta recommended it.

I take 30 mg of Adderall XR daily (except weekends). I've been taking 5htp as well to stabilize my moods. I haven't had any problems and I feel like I have been sleeping better in addition to having more stable moods. I noticed that I was becoming easily aggravated, angry and had almost no patience. You can take Depakote with Tramadol as long as you don't exceed more than 3 a day. I am on both meds and the pharamists told me that and I have lived by it, and I have not had seizures but then again I am taking Depakote for BiPolar Disorder not epilepsy.

It does not make a difference when in the day you take Lexapro; it is just important that you take it at the same time each day consistently. The best time of the day to take it is when you are most likely to remember to take it.
