back in the 1970's when Queen was touring America, Brian May contracted hepititus because of food poisioning. He was rushed back to England and placed in Hospital.

Yes. Brian May, the Queen guitarist was a teacher for a short period. He taught Maths at Stockwell Manor. My mother used to attend the school and had quite a crush on him. She even supposedly snuck into his lessons because of this. Although I can't imagine any teenager would sneak into a lesson :)

Guitarist Brian May overdubbed the sound of his guitar to make it sound as if more than one guitar was playing at the same time towards the end and also the voices in the operatic bit in the middle are overdubbed to give operatic effect. Apart from that, there were no effects used that I can think of. Part the reason why the song is such a master piece :)

In 1991, Freddie Mercury - Queen's vocalist and flamboyant showman died of AIDS leaving the other three without a charismatic frontman. John Deacon felt that he couldn't continue in Queen wihout Freddie and so Roger Taylor and Brian May continued with Paul Rogers from 'Free'

There is no line "you have had your shelves" in the song "We Are The Champions" by Queen. You are probably referring to the line "I've had my share of sand kicked in my face, but I've come through". The line means that even though the singer has faced an amount of tribulations comparable to most people, he has overcome them, on the way to becoming a champion.

Brian May is somewhere around 6 feet 2 inches.

Queen's debut album titled "Queen" was released in 1973, with the lead single "Keep Yourself Alive." The group existed before then, with the name Smile, so perhaps there was an earlier song recorded.

Well, Their first song was called "Misfire" But I have no idea what soever at what their first album was called.
