What does Islam say about husband and wife?

well there's no one right way. What works for some married couples might not work for another. I do think there are a couple of things that are essential to a good marriage. Having respect for each other is important. A good marriage doesn't mean you never fight, it's the way you fight and the way you resolve it that's important. there will always be some friction when you've been together for a long time, but it's important that you handle it with some decency and that you don't let it escalate.

A good marriage means that you are partners at all times, even when it isn't going so well. but just find out what works for the both of you! If you're both happy with the way it's going than that is the right way to go.

Was Adam the first man God created?

In Genesis, chapter 1 and a reiteration in chapter 2 tells us the creation of the earth and of man. After God created all things He lastly created man to take charge of creation starting by putting him in the Garden of Eden. Man was made from the dust of the earth by God Himself and He breathed the breath of life into man, this man was Adam. Adam being created in the image and likeness of God was well equipped to, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it....." He was the first of all created human beings. Eve, his wife was created out of one of Adam's ribs, also by God Himself.

What the pilgrims do when they reach the site of pilgrimage?

It depends on the type of pilgrimage, the reason, and if religious then which religion. Pilgrimages can occur for all sorts of reasons; sometimes to worship Gods, other times to fulfill duties and soem even class going to a loved one's grave or scattering ashes as a pilgrimage (though I don't know if this is correct). With regard to religious pilgrimages it usually involves prayer, adoration and some sort of set act. For example, in Islam Muslims circumamulate (walk in circles) round the Kaba (sorry for incorrect names/spellings) in Mecca; their place of holy pilgrimage. In Christianity, Lourdes is an example of a pilgrimage often taken by the frail or sick in which they touch the walls of the grotto and light candles by the place where Mary first appeared in a way of asking to be healed. It depends on the type of pilgrimage, the reason, and if religious then which religion. What year was the Quran reveled?

Around year 632 AD, God revelation of Quran to Prophet Mohamed through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril) was completed. This was the year of death of the Prophet (peace upon him). Quran revelation to prophet Mohamed started in year 610 AD (when prophet Mohamed was 40 years old).

When was surah qaf revealed?

There is no authentic tradition to show as to when exactly this Surah was sent down. A study of the subject matter, however, reveals that its period of revelation is the second stage of the Holy Prophet's life at Makkah, which lasted from the third year of the Prophethood till the fifth year. We have given the characteristics of this period in the Introduction to the Sarah Al-An'am. In view of those characteristics it can be said that this Surah might have been sent down in about the 5th year, when the antagonism of the disbelievers had become quite intense but had not yet assumed tyrannical proportions

Why is pork prohibited in Islam?

Answer 1

All kinds of food are allowed to be eaten except carrion, blood, pork, and what has been consecrated to other than Allah.

Pork is prohibited first because it is a command from God that should not be debated but should be followed and obeyed.

The major holy books of Islam are the Quran, the Torah, the Psalms, and the Injil (or Gospel). Dietary laws for Jews and Muslim are found in the Torah. While there are certain dietary benefits to eating halal and haram (kosher or Kashrut in Judaism), and perhaps one of the reason for the restriction on consuming pork is that pigs consume a quantity of food that is disproportional to their value as a food source, the primary reason that Muslims do not eat pork is because the Torah says not to. No other reason is necessary.

Answer 2

It is partly because pork is from pigs. Pigs eat their own waste and that waste gets turned into pig fat. Then the pig gets slaughtered and then butchers cut and cook the fat of the pig and so technically your eating the pig's digested food.

Who guards the gates of heaven?

Those angels appointed by God. To pass by these guardians of the gates of heaven, you must be worthy to enable you to give to the angels; the signs and tokens given to you while upon the earth. You cannot just walk into heaven.

What are 10 important principles of the Islam religion?

The ten main important principles of Islam religion are considered in the following:

  1. Monotheism: Islam, as its name means, is peace and the call for full submission to God, the one and only one, with no partner, no son, no father, no companion, no resemblance. This full submission to God leads to peace in yourself and between yourself and the universe that you are part of it.
  2. Muhammad prophecy: Prophet Muhammad is God messenger and prophet to call for Islam.
  3. Quran holy book: Quran, Islam holy book, was revealed by God to Prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel. Quran is the text of God holy words that remained without single letter alteration or addition since Quran revelation to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) until present and will remain as such until (with God promise) the Day of Judgment. See related question, below, on why Quran was revealed.
  4. Sunnah: Prophet Muhammad sayings, doings, and practices that are recorded and authenticated by sincere early Muslims and followed up by Muslims.
  5. Islam five pillars: These five pillars to be believed and followed up in by all Muslims. Denying any of them intentionally and knowingly by any Muslim gets him/her out of Islam faith. See related question, below, on Islam faith pillars. These five pillars are: 1) witness that no god except the one and only one God (Allah) and Muhammad is his messenger and prophet, 2) performing praying (Salat), 3) pay the alms giving (Zakat), 4) fasting Ramadan (Sawm), 5) and doing pilgrimage (Hajj) by who can afford it.
  6. Faith Principles: To have faith in:
    • God (Allah)
    • God Angels
    • God holy books (including Psalms, Torah, the Bible, and Quran)
    • God prophets (including Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad; peace upon them)
    • day of Judgment
    • Destiny
  7. Muslim conduct: To follow the Islam morals guided by the Quran and Prophet Muhammad Sunnah. See related questions, below, on Islam ethics and moral.
  8. Good deeds: Muslim is not only commanded to perform ritual worships but also, and equally important, to do good deeds for the benefit of oneself, family, community, and humanity.See related question, below, on Islam major teachings.
  9. No religion compulsion: You are created free and you have full choice to believe in the religion and principles that you find them correct. Only God, the Creator and the All-Knowing, will judge your choice on the day of Judgment then, in the other eternal life, you go either to Hell or to the Paradise (with God mercy).See related question, below, on Quran Golden rules.
  10. Cooperation for mankind goodness: God created people in different races, colors, peoples and tribes, and cultures not to live in conflicts but to compete in doing the good and to cooperate in piety and for mankind benefit. See related question, below, on how Muslims treat non Muslims.
Side viewIslam is the second largest religion in the world. TheIslamic belief systems is a set of goals from the Creator for the prophecy, which cannot be seen. The Islamic people believe in angles and the resurrection and the last day of life (Day of Judgment). Islam is a monotheistic religion of peace with the creator. Answer:Islam means obedience and submission of one's will before Allah. Whatever has been created in the universe is purposeful and when it fulfills its purpose of creation it means it is obeying its Creator and it is a Muslim with Islam as its way of life. For example, He created our stomach to digest food made for it, when it does its work, it means it is a Muslim to its creator. But in case anything disobeys Him, all the harms and resulting destruction goes to itself and nothing goes against the Creator. So whoever goes against what was it made for, if destroys itself and its surroundings.

The others things serve human beings because they are made for it. But the purpose for which the human beings have been created is to worship only Allah and to be His Muslims. To follow Him and to submit their wills before Him.

Here humans have been given option to follow Him or to Deny. But He didn't leave us unguided, and for this purpose He sent His Messengers showing right path to success. So all the Messengers were Muslims and they preached Islam. This is why it is a must in Islam to believe in all prophets and respect them.

Now if someone follows Islam (for which the humanity has been created), he will be successful in the test of this worldly life as he did what he was created for. And in the Afterlife he will be among successful people and the among the owners of Paradise. Otherwise, his abode will be Hell and that life is eternal life. And Allah who created sun, stars can of course create the Hell. And He who created the earth can create the Paradise, much more beautiful and bigger than our planet.

Today, if we want to know the details of how our Creator wants us to be and to do, we have to follow the guidance of the sources of Islamic knowledge which are Quran and Sunnah (the way of Prophet's life).

Islam is a monotheistic religion. People who believe in Islam are called Muslims. Muslims believe in the god Allah and completing Arkan-ul-Islam, or the five pillars of Islam. Muslims are forbidden to gamble, gossip, be lazy, eat pig or gelatin, drink blood, or do anything that can create an addiction.

Beliefs in Islam:
  1. Belief in One Supreme and Ever Existing God who cannot die, tell lies and fulfill His promises. He sustains everything. He is the creator and will destroy everything He created. In Hebrew EEL means god and in Arabic EElah or Ilah الہ means god. AL + ILAH becomes Allah - The God the Unique and One.
  2. Belief in Angels. There are so many of them and only God knows how many they are and what duties they perform.
  3. Belief in Prophets: This belief means there came about 124000 Prophets in all regions. Every Nation in all times got its Prophet to guide. But it was followers' duty to preserve the message of God. Until the Last Prophet Muhammad PBUH came and God took this duty himself. Hence there is no version of Quran, its single book with no doubts or contradictions. No grouping over its authenticity. More, all Prophets are equal in Islam so no one worships Prophet Muhammad PBUH in Islam. (A common misunderstanding found) All prophets though we know them are not who so ever they were are highly regarded in Islam that when ever you talk about them and say their names like Jesus Son Of Mary (PBUH), its must to say with humble and respect and both while saying and writing you must say علیہ السلام which means Peace be Upon Him. Jesus Son Of Mary in Arabic عیسیٰ بن مریم علیہ اسلام (Isaa bin Maryam PBUH) [Also called کلمتہ اللہ Word of God , روح اللہ Spirit of God, ابن مریم Son of Mary and مسیح الموعود the promised Messiah the Christ] is also accepted Christ and one of the mightiest (in miracles and mercy) Prophets of God. A must to remember key is Islam believes in Perfection of religion in every way so no more Prophets, Apostles, or Messengers etc. The Holy Spirit; the Archangel Gabriel Will not Descend again with new or old message in anyway. And hence Prophet Muhammad PBUH is the final Prophet from Allah and Quran is the Final Testament and Final Law. And now there is no room for any new commandment or Law. This is now Allah's responsibility to preserve and made safe His word and its people's responsibility to establish Law in lives to society. This also needs a much more detail not possible here.
  4. Belief in Books: According to Islam, every prophet was given a bigger or smaller book. Some came with new version of Law and many came to just establish the previous given. In the first case The New Law prevailed and old one was respectfully nullified. But it was must to believe in its (the previous') authenticity as God's word. But it was followers' duty to preserve and protect in its original text form. All these times when ever the Law was shown dishonesty and was manipulated, a New one was given. Whenever people forgot to follow law as a whole a new reformer came from God, to establish the writ of Law. Moses PBUH was given Torah and later Prophets came to reestablish the state on foundation of Torah. But they got their own little books called Sahifa (singular, plural= Sahaif صحائف). Which contained commands to follow the Law.
  5. Belief in Fate: This must not be mixed with (and got confused with) Fortune. Fate includes (i) Time of Birth (ii) place of Birth (iii) Age (Changeable) (iv) Time of Death (According to Age) (iii) Place of Death. Now, what is fortune? Fortune is everything in life which we do, for example, our education, status, life style, career, etc. It depends upon how we do and what we do. And in Hadith it states, "The deeds depend upon intention"(Sahih-ul-Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 1, Number 1). God will be first judged upon by intentions not by acts, so if intention was right then he will be forgiven and will be blessed. Similarly if intention is wrong and is deceitful and evil then it doesn't matter what he does he will have his very little reward only to the extent he is doing an act. But no blessings, yet an equal wrath from God. This needs further explanation which is not fit for small text box.
AnswerIslam considers six fundamental beliefs to be the foundation of their faith:
  1. A single, indivisible God. (God, the creator, is just, omnipotent and merciful. "Allah" is often used to refer to God; it is the Arabic word for God.)
  2. The angels.
  3. The divine scriptures, which include the Torah, the Psalms, the rest of the Bible, (as they were originally revealed) and the Qur'an (which is composed of God's words, dictated by the Archangel Gabriel to Muhammad).
  4. The Messengers of God, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad -- the last prophet; (peace be upon them). Muhammad's message is considered the final, universal message for all of humanity.
  5. The Day of Judgment when people will be judged on the basis of their deeds while on earth, and will either attain reward of Heaven or punishment in Hell. They do not believe that Jesus or any other individual can atone for another person's sin. Hell is where unbelievers and sinners spend eternity. One translation of the Qur'an, 98:1-8, states: "The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans shall burn for ever in the fire of Hell. They are the vilest of all creatures." ("People of the Book" refers to Christians, Jews and Muslims). Paradise is a place of physical and spiritual pleasure where the sinless go after death
  6. The supremacy of God's will.

More beliefs include:

  • God did not have a son.
  • Jesus (peace be upon him) is a prophet, born of the Virgin Mary. They regard the Christian concept of the deity of Jesus (pbuh) to be blasphemous; it is seen as a form of polytheism.
  • Jesus (pbuh) was not executed on the cross. He escaped crucifixion and was taken up into Paradise.
  • The existence of Satan drives people to sin.
  • Muslims who sincerely repent and submit to God return to a state of purity, if God wills.
  • All people are considered children of Adam. Islam officially rejects racism.
  • All children are born on Al-Fitra (a pure, natural state of submission to Islam). His parents sometimes make him Christian, Jewish, etc.
  • When a child reaches puberty an account of their deeds is opened in Paradise. When the person dies, their eventual destination (Paradise or Hell) depends on the balance of their good deeds (helping others, testifying to the truth of God, leading a virtuous life) and their bad deeds.
  • Alcohol, illegal drugs, eating of pork, etc. are to be avoided.
  • Gambling is sinful and is to be avoided.
AnswerIslam is based on the simple and true belief that there is none worthy of worship besides Allah and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the worshiper and messenger of Allah.

In addition to the above: Islam religion is based on the teachings and instructions of the holy book Quran and prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sunnah (his sayings and practices).

AnswerThere is no one worthy to be worshiped, obeyed or followed except Allah exclusively and prophet Muhammad is his last messenger and his servant
There are lots of beliefs, but here are the top three -

1. Do Not Do Haram Things.

2. Believe in Allah (swt) as the one and only God, and his messenger, the prophet Muhammed (pbh).

3. Be Religious - Pray, Donate to Charity, and Be a good Overall Person.

How do you explain the scientific miracles in Quran?

It is meant by the scientific miracles of Quran that Quran includes lots of scientific statements that was only proved by the current state of art of science and information. These statements are considered as scientific miracles because of their revelation in the seventh century while validated only with state-of-art of current knowledge, science and discoveries. This is considered as one of the proofs that the holy book Quran was not written by human or extracted from other books, as some may claim, and that Quran was a revelation from God to Prophet Mohamed.

Refer to questions below as examples of such scientific miracles.

In this regards I quote here the words said by Dr. Maurice Bucaille, an eminent medical scientist and a member of the French Academy of Medicine. He is the author of the book entitled "The Bible, The Quran and Science.""Science and Islam's close relationship with it played a tremendous role in strengthening my faith and that of scientists throughout history - even today! This is a fascinating section - do take time to explore it!""There is indeed no human work prior to modern times that contains statements which were equally in advance of the state of knowledge at the time they appeared and which might be compared to the Quran. It comes as no surprise to learn that Religion and Science have always been considered to be twin sisters by Islam and that today, at a time when science has taken such great strides, they still continue to be associated, and furthermore certain scientific data are used for the better understanding of the Quranic text."What is more, in a century where, for many, scientific truth has dealt a deathblow to religious belief, it is precisely the discoveries of science that, in an objective examination of the Islamic Revelation, have highlighted the supernatural character of certain aspects of the Revelation."The Quran contains infinitely more precise details [than many scientific discoveries today] which are directly related to facts discovered by modern science: these are what exercise a magnetic attraction for today's scientists."It is not faith in Islam that first guided my steps, but simple research for the truth. [What led me to this conviction was the fact that it would be unthinkable] for a man of Muhammad's time to have been the author of such statements on account of the state of knowledge in his days."

What is the prophet mohammed's birthday?

Around January, Febrauary and March. The celebration of the birth of Muhammad is usually celebrated by parading down the streets with flags and by having extra long mosque services. This celebration is officially known as Mawlid or Maulid.

How many ayats or verses in Quran?

There are 6236 Ayats (Verses). All verses are holy and respected. However, the best one is verse 255 in Surah Al-Bakrah (chapter 2). It is called "Ayat Al-Kursi" and starts with (meaning English translation):

" Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, Al-Hayyul-Qayyum (the Ever living, the One who sustains and protects all that exists)....."

What are the other names for the holy books of Islam?

The woran has multiple names for itself. For example, Allah (God) calls the Quran (in the Quran, as it is the word of Allah) Al-Furqân [الفرقان], which basically means "The Criterion", or "The Distinguisher (between good and bad)". He also calls it Al-Kitâb Al-Mubín [الكتاب المبين], which means "The Clear Book". He also calls it Al-Kitâb Al-Hakeem [الكتاب الحكيم], meaning "The Wise Book". Another name is Kalâm-Allah [كلام ﷲ] meaning "The Speech/Word(s) of Allah). Off the top of my head, I can't think of a bunch more, but there are probably more than I have mentioned here:

Shifâ [شفاء] "The Healer" (Specifically, Allah mentions Shifâ un Limâ fi As-Sudúr [شفاء لما في الصدور] "The Healer for that which is in the chest/heart"

Tazkirah [تذكرة] "Rememberance" (it is specifically mentioned, "[It was not revealed] except as a rememberance for those who fear [Allah]"

Go ahead and look up more of these beautiful names. I'm sure you can find more elswhere. May Allah increase your desire for Al-Khair (The Good), and guide you to Paradise.

Refer to related questions listed below for more information on main Islam principles and the golden rules of Quran. What is the Quran?

Al-Quran is the eternal miracle. It is the last Book of Allah sent for the guidance of humanity through the last Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH).

Revelation of the Quran

The Quran was revealed piecemeal throughout a period of about 23 years. The Prophet received the first revelation in 610CE, in the Cave of Hira in the Mountain of Light (Jabale-Noor), two and a half miles away from the House of Allah in the city of Makkah in Arabia.

The first revelation was the first five verses of Surah (chapter) Al-Alaq: "Iqra bismi rabbikalla dhi khalaq. Khalaqal insana min alaq. Iqra WA rabbukal akram. Alladhi 'allama bil qalam. 'Allamal insana malam ya'lam, " which means "Read in the name of your Lord who created, created man from a clot. Read, for your Lord is most Generous, Who teaches by means of the pen, teaches man what he does not know." (96: 1-5)

The last revelation was the third verse of Surah Al-Maidah, which was sent down to the Prophet in 632 C.E. : "Al yawma akmaltu lakum dinakam WA atmamtu alaikam ni'mati WA raditu' lakumul islama dinan''," which means "Today I perfected your religion for you and completed my favor to you and have chosen for you Al-Islam as your religion." (5:3)

Surah Al-Fatiha (The Opening Chapter) was the first complete chapter to be revealed and Surah An-Nasr was the last.

7 Reasons to Read the Glorious Quran

(1) Intimate:

It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans can not write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources together and got help also from the spirits. The Quran said this fourteen hundreds years ago and yet no one has been able to disprove it. Billions of books have been written - but not another one like the Quran.

(2) Incorruptible:

It is the only religious sacred writing which has been in circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Quran was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since it was completely revealed 1400 years ago.

(3) Unsurpassable:

The Quran is God's final revelation to humankind. God revealed the Torah to Moses, the Psalms to David, the Gospel to Jesus, and finally the Quran to Muhammad. Peace be upon all of them. No other book will come from God to surpass his final revelation.

(4) Indisputable:

The Quran withstands the test of time and scrutiny. No one can dispute the truth of this book. It speaks about past history and turns out right. It speaks about the future in prophecies and it turns out right. It mentions details of physical phenomena which were not known to people at the time; yet later scientific discoveries confirm that the Quran was right all along. Every other book needs to be revised to accord with modern knowledge. The Quran alone is never contradicted by a modern discovery.

(5) Your Roadmap for Life and Afterlife:

The Quran is the best guidebook on how to structure your life. No other book presents such a comprehensive system involving all aspects of human life and endeavor. The Quran also points out the way to secure everlasting happiness in the afterlife. It is your roadmap showing how to get to paradise.

(6) God's Gift of Guidance:

God has not left you alone. You were made for a reason. God tells you why he made you, what he demands from you, and what he has in store for you. If you operate a machine contrary to it's manufacture specification you will ruin that machine. What about you? Do you have an owner's manual for you? The Quran is from your function for success lest you fail to function. It is a healing mercy from God. It satisfies the soul, and cleans the heart. It removes doubts and brings peace.

(7) Your Calling Card to Communicate with God:

Humans are social creatures. We love to communicate with other intelligent life. The Quran tells us how to communicate with the source of all intelligence and the source of all life- the One God. The Quran tells us who God is, by what name we should address God, and the way in which to communicate with God. Are these not seven sufficient reasons for reading the Quran?

What is the muselmen religion?

I read about and think that the muselmen religion are very intristting because they says that the god is one nothing beside him and he is the lord and they says that's anyone can be a muselmen if he want to, I know that's we have bad aide about the muselmen people bat we have to make a line between bad one and the good one and we can find this case in every religion.

A Muslim's religion is named Islam, so anyone who follows Islam is called a Muslim. In our religion we believe that there is one God, we call him Allah, and that he created everything, visible, invisible, big, small, everything was created by him. In our religion we strive to submit ourselves to making Allah happy. We do this by following commands and by doing righteous deeds (even smiling at people in our religion is seen as a charity). We believe there is a life after death, heaven, hell, angels, and devils (we call them Shaitan its kind of like Satan). Our lord is just and when the world comes to an end He will bring justice (if i killed some one God will give me what i deserve, like a punishment). Our religion has very basic rulings and it is meant, not just as a religion, but as a way of life, so that all our problems have a solution and we can live knowing that justice will prevail, if not in this life, then in the next where people will either be in hell or heaven (another thing is that even if you are Muslim you can go to hell if you are bad, but our lord has promised that it will only be temporary depending on what you have done throughout life).

What are all the holy books and their religions?

There are many books for Hinduism. Ramayana and Mahabharata are the two important holy books of Hinduism. Bhagavad Gita [The technical part of Book 6 of the Mahabharata] is also the world famous one.
