Why is my rabbit Lethargic and not hungry?
Are you giving him enough water. Is his cage clean. You need to make sure all conditions are good for the rabbit. Is he cool enough. Rabbits natural habitat is under the ground where it is cool. Try these things and see if bunnie feels better.

Will a rabbit make nest without being pregnant?
Yes, a rabbit can build a nest without being pregnant. Usually false pregnancies cause this, where the doe believes she is pregnant and the body goes through the motions of pregnancy (i.e. eats more, builds a nest, can become aggressive, etc.).
You may also notice a very crude version of a nest by either bucks or does during a heavy molt. If the rabbit sleeps in one spot and already has a "bed" made, while the fur is being molted out it can get caught within the bed and look like a very crude nest. *Note: This is not actually a rabbit making a nest, but can be mistaken as such*

How old do girl bunnies have to be to have babies?
Well I was told told 6 months but i know that's not true as my female rabbit gave birth unexpectedly at just over 4 months old so she must have got pregnant at just over 3 months old, so i would definitely keep males and females apart from each other before they reach 3 months in future, as its not recommended for them to have babies this young.
A little time that they have access to a boy bunny.
What do i do when i have a baby rabbit who's leg is bleeding?
If your rabbit's feet are bleeding it probably has a condition called sore hocks. The first thing you do is clean and dis -infect your rabbits cage. Then you need to get it off of the wire. This can be done by putting a nestbox or a sitting board in the cage for your rabbit. Some people will use a carpet square which is fine as long as your rabbit doesn't decide to eat it. Then you will have to pull it out and give it a sitting board.Cleaning the rabbits feet and putting Neosporin ointment or some other antibiotic cream on it's feet. One that doesn't taste good is preferrable as they will lick their feet.
Do you have to move a pregnant rabbit away from other rabbits?
Yes, unless you want the other rabbits to kill the babies when theyre born.
EVERY RABBIT needs it's own cage after it reaches 4 months of age, so this should not be a question - whether to separate a pregnant doe from the rest of the herd.
What can happen if your 16 week old American rabbit gets pregnant?
i have heard that you should wait until they're about 6 months, but im sure if you just left 2 of them together they will mate and you probably wont even know [unless you are monitoring them all the time] that's what happened to my rabbits, they had two litters of babies and we never knew one was pregnant let alone one was a boy. anyways hope that helps!!
Will a rabbit carry babies longer than 31 days?
all rabbits carry there kits for between 28 - 40days usually having them at 31 - 32.
When does the female rabbit separate from her bunnies?
It is recommended to remove the buck as soon as mating has occurred. You can return the doe to the buck's cage/hutch several times throughout the next few days to ensure she's bred, possibly increase litter size, etc. Keeping the buck and doe together can lead to many problems, so it is just best to keep them separate. Some problems include:
- injury to the buck as the doe gets more aggressive
- fighting (territorial)
- "double clutching" meaning the doe gets bred a second time and carries 2 separate litters at the same time
- injury/death to kits when they are born due to the buck
- added stress to the doe can cause miscarriage, loss of interest in kits when she kindles, premature kindling
Why do animals often abandon their young?
Animals either have parental care or they don't. Animals just don't get up and leave young on a whim. That's just the way they evolved. Just about any species of snake or turtle lack parental care. So I'll just pick a couple, rattlesnake and box turtle. About the only animal known to abandon its young is Homo sapiens.
Higher animals, like the white-tailed deer occasionally leave a fawn. We think the doe somehow senses there is something wrong with it. But, this is rare. Even when humans mess with a fawn, the doe will still take care of it.
That is a good answer, but there are more reasons that animals abandon the young. They are all programed with parental behaviors. They either can't take care of there young, or, in many cases they discard the runt. The panda for example. It was born with the knowledge of taking care of its cubs. But, if it gives birth to more than one cub, it doesn't make enough milk. So, it picks its favorite and takes care of it.
One baby rabbit is not getting fed what do you do?
You should immediately call your local vet and ask them.
What do baby rabbits eat after being weaned?
They eat unlimited amounts of alfalfa hay and dried rabbit feed (pellets). You can also give them apple tree wood. Fresh leafy greens (like Romaine lettuce) can be introduced in tiny portions at 12 weeks, but other vegetables (like carrot, fruits, etc.) should be held off until the rabbit is about 6 months old.
What else can you feed a baby rabbit?
RABBIT PELLETS AND NOTHING ELSE!!! If you give them greens, they will die!
Can a rabbit have babies without a mate?
I'm not certain if you mean that can she get pregnant without a male rabbit, or can the babies be raised out side of a "family unit", so I'll answer both.
No, she must be bred by a male to get pregnant.
And no, rabbits don't raise babies in a family unit. All moms are single moms and the prefer it that way.
When can you touch a rabbits baby?
It's better you DIDN'T touch the bunny, but taking the mother away from the baby by picking her up by the back of her head in one ha d and the back end in the other, might help.
If a rabbit is not neutered and you get another rabbit of the opposite sex will they fight?
They might fight, but it's more likely they will mate and have babies. Please think twice before allowing rabbits to breed. There are bunnies all over that are living in shelters and waiting to be adopted; many will even be killed by the shelter because no one has adopted them and their time has run out. If you want to be involved with more rabbits, contact a local shelter, rabbit rescue group, or House Rabbit Society chapter.
How long will a phantom pregnancy in a rabbit last?
A false pregnancy? Breed her as soon as you can.
But, unless you are positive there's a market for your rabbits, do not breed them at all. There are rabbits in shelters all over the country, and when their time runs out they are put down even if they're healthy. It's terribly irresponsible to add to this overpopulation, or to bring new lives into the world just to "cull" them because no one wants to adopt them. Even if you know there is a market for your rabbits, consider this: all those customers of yours could be rescuing rabbits from shelters, intend of buying your rabbits that don't even exist yet. However, the final point is this: if you don't know what you're doing, don't breed your bunnies: instead, spay/neuter them. False pregnancies are stressful for rabbits, and you're doing them a favour by spaying them. See the related questions below for more details.
Can you touch a baby rabbit after a week?
I don't advise you pick them up and cuddle them reguarly until they are AT LEAST 2 weeks old. Although we have some baby bunnies at the moment that are 2 weeks old and we hold them often...they mother doesn't seem to mind. At 3 days old we took them out to county them but put them straight back in before the mother noticed.
