Does a rabbit hop when it is happy?
Rabbits try to be very active animals through their lifetime. They do many types of tricks like jumping, rolling over (Not much), and much more. But if it does a side hop their must be a problem. But if they act normally after that.. They just wanna show off to you and it might because they like you. But if they suddenly start to stop walking to much and their leg is not in the right direction or if they are limping then there is a problem so at home try to check it up give them a bit of hay and pellets then try to make them comfortable for a minute or two then immediately take it to a vet for a checkup. Rabbit's need comfort when sick and hurt they need attention and care. And LOTS food. So take care dude!

What are facts about dutch rabbits?
It is said that the Dutch Rabbit originated in Holland sometime around 1850 or later where it is called the Hollander Rabbit. It found its way to England in 1864 where it has risen in continued popularity and been exported to points around the world. The Dutch is one of the oldest breeds of domestic rabbit known, owing its existence, as do all domestic rabbits, to the much earlier domestication of the European wild rabbit, or (true rabbit). Considered a fancy rabbit due to their distinctive Dutch markings, the Dutch Rabbit, has from its introduction, benefited from the careful attention of breeders over the years who have continue improving the breed and expanding the available varieties while maintaining and perfecting the distinctive markings. Special attention has been paid to perfecting the general body type of the Dutch breed to the standard of perfection we know today. Due to the high expectations demanded for perfection in type and markings, the Dutch is one of the greatest challenges for the prospective and experienced breeder alike.
No way! Bunnies are so much cuter!
Please witness: God's Most Beautiful Creation ever. (On the attached file)
They are so adorable. That is simply what they are known for. Yet, they are quite misunderstood. Many a time someone stops to ponder, it is quite often that people think that rabbits don't do much except eat and sleep...
THIS IS A LIE!!
Rabbits are much more!
Yesterday, my brother was being a pest and said that rabbits don't do anything. Again, it's a complete lie. They may not be dogs, but they are still a perfect companion. Over half of the US population doesn't know- well, anything about rabbits. Except maybe that they are cute and cuddly. But hardly anyone takes the time to get to KNOW them. I'll bet that it would certainly be a surprise to just about anyone who thinks that rabbits "don't do anything" to hear that rabbits can be taken for walks. OH! WHAT NOW? And there's so much more!
Here is a list of all the beautiful characteristics of a rabbit (That most people don't even know about):
* First of all, you can litter train them.
* They can be taken for walks
* They are very social
* easily trained
* Can produce up to 20 bunnies or more a year! (which is why it is smart to alter it if it is going to be a pet)
More often than not, Easter comes, and people say, "Hey! Let's get our kid a rabbit for Easter to 'follow the tradition' " So they think, how hard can it be? All they do is eat and sleep and defecate. (Uh... You're in for a BIG surprise!) And buy a bunny. If anything, even though rabbits are such wonderful pets, they do take responsibility, just like a cat or a dog. This person does not realize it, and is shocked to find that all of a sudden, Flopsy is chewing up the furniture! Yes, they will do it if you do not provide them wooden chew toys. Also, rabbit proof your house! Spray lemon juice on the furniture so they won't chew it! But, the owner did not do his research and did not know that rabbits have ever-growing teeth that need to be filed down by chewing. He/She just thinks that the bunny they bought is going to destroy their house for no reason, so guess what? They dump the poor baby at a shelter! This is what happens to millions of rabbits, mostly around easter. In fact, over half of the population of domesticated rabbits are dumped at shelters, because the owner was not prepared and didn't do his research. It's sad. And it OUTRAGES ME!
Anyways, my point of this email is that so many people misunderstand rabbits. And it needs to stop! Help spread the word and forward this please... Maybe we can change the way the world looks at bunnies, which are, to me, the most beautiful creatures God made. Thank you for understanding.
Yes rabbits and cats can get along with each other if they are introduced at an early age. Pretty much any animals can get along if they meet when they are young.
Will a mother rabbit reject a baby rabbit if touched by a human?
Don't touch the babies without gloves on, and if you don't have gloves, wash your hands and hold the kit in a cup position. The mother will probably continue to care for her kit if she knows you and is comfortable with you around.

What is the bald patch on your lop eared rabbit?
It could be one of three things :
1. If female, she may be doing that and piling up the hair as a "nest" for her young (whether or not she is pregnant~she may do this because she is of age to have a baby)
2. Fungus infection.
3. Malnutrition.
Why do some bunnies have red eyes?
Most rabbits with red rimmed eyes have red eyes and that's why they are red rimmed. Its nothing to worry about unless they are weaping
Rabbits who appear to have red irritated eyes could have allergies or dust in their eyes or eye infections. If they start to get white junk in the corners of their eyes they probably need to see the vet for an eye infection. If they are just red you can use any eye wash you would use on your own eyes.

What season do rabbit give birth?
Ok wild bunnies have their babies in the spring and winter but in the winter most babies die and thats why you dont see them hoping around all over in the winter. How do you keep wild rabbits out of your flowers and bushes?
Castor oil, coffee ground mulches, companion planting of garlic and mints, diatomaceous earth, fences, hot pepper sprays, human hair clips, row covers, sprinklers and uncluttered access are ways to keep rabbits and squirrels out of gardens. Rabbits and squirrels avoid harsh textures and strong smells. Deadheading, mowing and pruning schedules keep gardens and surrounding lawns free of brush piles, host plants and tall grasses.
Do rabbits need to be brushed?
If you want to.
No, you shouldn't do it. It's unnecessary, and it would cause your rabbit stress. Because cats and dogs eat meat, their teeth grow bacteria, and that's why they need their teeth brushed. Rabbits don't have that problem because they don't eat any meat or animal products (like dairy).
They don't need their teeth brushed, but they do need their teeth ground down because rabbit teeth are constantly growing. Most rabbits can grind down their own teeth by eating lots and lots of hay. Some rabbits, because of genetic problems, need to go to the vet for dental care.

How many times a day do you feed a lop eared dwarf rabbit?
One answer: Once.
Another answer: I think two meals a day is better for a rabbit's digestion. I split the daily portions of fresh greens and pellets into two meals, morning and evening.
