Programming procedure for GE Universal Remote to Digital Stream converter box is as follows:

1. Turn on converter box either manually or otherwise.

2. Press SETUP button until light comes/stays on.

3. Press and release CBL/SAT button.

4. Press 1751 in that order on your keypad.

5. Press ON/OFF button.

6. Press ENTER button.

Note: This particular code was originally designed for GE Universal Remote 24938 but will work with the 24912 model also except the MENU selection. I could not get that feature to work, however, it may be that it will work while you are still in SETUP mode...I did not try that because, fortunately, all my settings were already programmed the way I wanted them.

The best way to use sync to a universal remote would be simple. The only thing you have to do it point the remote to the control on the TV. There should be a button on the DVD player remote that will allow you to make sync these two together.

You can not use a 10 switch for an 8 switch. I just had to call a lock shop for the info.

First, you must find the three digit code for your device. You can find this code at Toshiba's website under the page "Remote Control Codes". Once you have the code, go to the "Mode Select" button on your remote control and select the device you wish to control. Finally, aim your remote control at the device, hold down the "Recall" button, and enter the three digit code.

Connect the supplied anttena on the reciever. Once you have done that, then:

1. dtv symbol device

2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks

3. enter 9 6 1

4. press CH UP

5. enter the last 6 digits of the Receiver ID #, found on a sticker in the access card compartment

6. press SELECT

Now the receiver will accept both IR and RF, but the directv device on the RC32RF remote will only emit RF signals. The av1, av2, and tv are all still IR only.

unfortunately you can't. I have the same problem, moving house, i lost it. i gaffed around for a long time, but in the end, after scouring the depths of the tinter web and a few calls to phillips, they told me i could either purchase another remote from the at £19.99 (GollyGosh) so instead i took me off to telcos and picked up a cheap universal remote and it worked oki doki!

I have the 32" TCL and the 645 code worked with the 722 dish network dvr remote (remote 20.0 IR). For that remote, press and hold tv button until all device buttons light up, enter 645 and press # key.

Toys R Us sells a remote control spider made by Animal Planet. The remote control spider can climb walls and is available at Toys R Us online or in stores.

If the harmony website doesn't have a device listing for your fan, then you need to learn it. With the remote plugged in, and the harmony software running, you can select 'learn new command' somewhere in the menus. When it asks you to, point the original ceiling fan remote towards the back of the harmony, and teach it the buttons you wish to use. If you don't have the original fan remote, you may not be able to control it.

Actually the main problem here is the 880 is not an RF remote and the Triton is an RF Fan.

I use URC products so I am not sure what Harmony offers other than upgrading to the 890 remote.

All you need to do is get something to translate your IR remote signals to RF for the fan.
