How do you make a RC car from scrap pieces?

Well you will need experience to do this. You need to get all the parts, wheels, motor, body, gears, ESC, steering servo, receiver and transmitter, and a few other things. They must all be able to fit together correctly, so same style parts (not always same brand).

You need to know how they all fit together, build the gear box and attach it to the base of your car. Put in the front steering mechanics, and wheels on all 4 Axel positions. Attach the motor to the gearbox. Put in the electrical systems and put on the body/cover.

Of course this is very basic because there are many small differences there could be in how you build it, there is even the possibility that you do some (not all) of them steps in a slightly different order.

Note: this was based on the construction of an electric RC car.

How do remotes control toy cars?

Most RC cars operate under a 2-channel radio system(steering and acceleration). The remote transmits a series of signals to two different servos on the car, the accelerator servo and the steering servo. these signals tell the car what to do

What is the different in a vertical rudder and a horizontal?

There is no horizontal rudder. The horizontal control surface is the elevator. The rudder steers, elevator makes the plane go up and down

What are some really good rc parts?

It depends on what you want to do with your RC car or boat. If you want to increase your engine power you can get a Nitrous upgrade and make your boat or car go faster. If you want to make your car or boat there are body modifications you can do and you can even add lights to make your car or boat look awesome.

How fast does the forza nitro RC car go?

ya i want to no that to r they good i might get one

Is your nitro RC car broken if you put gas in it?

Most probably, you won't get it to run. Gasoline need a spark to ignite, R/c cars usually rely on another ignition system.

How do you fly a RC plane?

A sailplane has the same flight controls as an airplane. Ailerons to bank the wings, a rudder to keep the nose going straight through the air, an elevator to raise and lower the nose. Some sailplanes also have flaps on the wings to allow the sailplane to fly slowly.

Sailplanes have one flight control that only jets have. Spoilers are devices on the wings that the pilot can raise into the airstream to cause the wing to lose lift. Sailplanes are so aerodynamically efficient that they need spoilers to help the sailplane lose altitude for landing.

Sailplanes can stay in the air without an engine by utilizing rising air currents. Even though the sailplane is always sinking slowly, if the pilot can stay in pockets of air that are rising faster than the sailplane is sinking, the sailplane will climb and gain altitude. The pilot can then use that altitude to glide and search for more rising air.

By gliding forward from one source of rising air to another, a sailplane can cover great distances. Flights of over 300 miles are not uncommon and the world's record for distance is an unbelievable 1,362 miles.

How long will a nitro car run?

There's no specific answer to that question. It depends on many factors including size of engine, size of fuel tank, nitro content of the fuel, weight of the vehicle, type of terrain you are driving on, driving style, etc.

How do you make a traxxas stampede battery waterproof?

It can be, but I would upgrade it with some tape and filling just in the plug to water proof it. If its a brushed motor do NOT run in in mud or water. That just ruins the brushes then it won't work. Nor Brushless don't run it in it rather, or have fun buying another VXL system.

What are really good RC car brands?

well, some good RC CAR brands are yokomo. But I mainly know about offroad truck brands. The obvious choice would be traxxas, but there are lots of others like hpi racing, team losi and tamiya. Well all the brands I just listed make RC cars.

Will the Traxxas slayer body fit on the Slash 4x4?

Yup. But you will need to make a hole in the rear part for the engine to poke thru.

How do you make an RC motor faster?

Enable It to absorb more air and gasoline. In the the end it has to have proper fuel/air ration. Also bore kits make engine bigger internally. Better spark plug lighter internal parts etc. weight is a huge culprit other than detonation

How do you start your RC petrol car?

if you mean gas as in petroleum they are just like a weed eater, prime them then pull the starter cord until they turn over. A nitro RC has many different ways, some use pull starts others have the traxxas easy start system or the hpi roto start and some use starter boxes that physically turn the engine.

What is the best nitro rc engine?

There isn't really an "average price" unless you specify the size you are seeking. They make nitro rc engines for cars, they also make them for airplanes, so you would need to be more specific.

How fast does an RC nitro buggy go?

Why is paper mache a good material?

Paper-mache is biodegradable, meaning that it will decompose and have no negative impacts on the environment. Other than that property, paper mache does not seem to be in any other way helpful to the environment, as it is aesthetically displeasing to look at, and is not a strong building material nor a reliable one, as it "melts" in water like cardboard.

How do Nitro RC Cars work?

Good quallity RC cars have 5 main components. The motor(if you don't know what that does then that's sad), servo ( turns the wheels), Speed controller ( cotrolles the speed), reciver( gets all the commands from the controller and finally the transmitter( the controller). But of cousre if you bye some cheap thing , it will be the exact sam but with everything merged into one. oh and I forgot to say the bettery.

Who is the founder of traxxas?

Traxxas of Plano, Texas, USA is an R/C manufacurer founded in 1987 and credited with the then-revolutionary concept of a fully assembled, ready-to-run, hobby-grade R/C vehicle. In fact, the company coined the now-common phrase, "ready-to-run" to describe its offerings, even going so far as to open a toll-free help line since such vehicles would appeal to a broad segment of the entry-level R/C market. Parts and hop-ups would be made readily available as well.

That first offering, an offroad 1/10-scale electric buggy named "The Cat" and based on an existing http://wiki.answers.com/wiki/NIKKO_R/Cdesign, came with a hobby-grade, pistol-grip radio and ESCalready installed. Once R/C enthusiasts discovered the advantages of such a vehicle, including readily available replacement parts, Traxxas' initially sluggish sales took off. Traditional builders could even take heart in the fact that a kit version of The Cat would later be released.

In later years, Traxxas electric RTR models grew tremendously in features, sophistication and performance. Traxxas became a truly competitive racing presence with the "Hawk" and "Radicator" buggies and later with the TRX-1 buggy, Blue Eagle racing truck, TCP buggy, and the SRT racing truck.

1989 saw the RTR concept applied to R/C boating with the introduction of the twin-motored Villain IV deep-vee offshore cruiser and in 1992, the first nitro-powered RTR nitro truck, the "Nitro Hawk," was introduced. 1996 would see the first RTR nitro boat, the "Nitro Vee" with its auxillary electric motor which allowed the boat to be operated and returned to shore if fuel ran out.

In 1999, Traxxas' most popular, best-selling and technologically advanced model to date arrived. Dubbed the T-Maxxthis nitro-powered monster truck was the first such vehicle equipped with a forward/reverse transmission actuated via a third channel on the transmitter. Its two-speed transmission allows top speeds upwards of 30 mph (48 km/h) while suspension travel of over 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) damped by eight oil-filled shocks mean stable, fast operation over virtually any terrain. A twin-motored electric version dubbed "E-Maxx" is based on the same design and accepts many of its predecesor's modifications. Both have extensive aftermarket support.

The E-Maxx is currently being used by the United States military as the basis of a remote controlled, robotic bomb-sniffer in post-war Iraq. A link to photos and information can be found below.

The success of the T-Maxx established Traxxas as a leader in RTR monster trucks. Their latest nitro-powered models are the 1/10-scale, two-wheel-drive Jato and 1/10-scale, four-wheel drive Revo. Both feature a chassis layout optimized for easy servicing, extra-long suspension travel, on-board electric starter and, in the case of the Jato, a top speed of nearly 55 mph (88 km/h). The Revo utilizes a unique shock absorption system with inboard shocks mounted horizontally. Should a wheel be forced to the upper limit of its suspension travel, the extra leverage afforded by the system allows maximum traction at the remaining wheels.

Traxxas has partnered with Novakto produce electronic speed controls for its electric RTR vehicles and vessels. Design and development of Traxxas' models is done entirely in-house with some actual production done overseas
