Reagan was a very good President maybe the best President of the 20th Century. Anyways Reagan became a conservative in the 60s because he saw the Cultural Marxist movements of the 60s and he saw them as evils against a christian patriotic society. A very very famous quote and one of my favorites out of all presidents was when Mr. Reagan said" Mr. Gorbachev, Tear down that wall." True fact about that is Mr. Reagans advisors actually told him to leave that quote out but when time came he said it without it being written in his speech papers.

No. He was in uniform but did not fight. At first he served with the Illinois horse guard, one of the last of the vanishing horse cavalry of that time, and later he served in a motion picture unit based in Hollywood, making promotional and propaganda films in support of the war effort. Many Hollywood personalities were in this outfit making movies in support of the war.

Others actually participated. Director William Wellman went to Europe and flew on bombing missions to make the documentary of the Memphis Belle. Clark Gable went to England and made movies, but he made them with the 8th Air Force where it was deployed, in the war zone.

Jimmy Stewart finished a tour as an actual combat pilot of a B-24 heavy bomber. He was such a fine pilot the Air Force made him a check pilot, to take new pilots up and see how they handled the planes, and if they were ready to try combat missions. Stewart retired from the Air Force reserve as a brigadier general, and would have made a much better president than Reagan.

yes, Ronald Reagan LOVED jelly beans! It was said that at every meeting in the White house he would bring a jar of jelly beans and pass it around the table. When he was shot, his wife Nancy brought him a big jar of jelly beans at the hospital. Appearantly he had smoked and used jelly beans to try to break his habit. They then became his favorite candy.

The problem with Reagan is not his failures, but his successes. He orchestrated the deregulatory orgy that wrecked our economy and ravaged the environment, and his fund-cutting frenzies brought diseases like tuberculosis back from the brink of extinction. Very bad man. What I would say is all he ever did was be alsome and greatful. Just was alsome. I know I did a report on him.
