What is wrong with dolly in Rudolph?

Well as you know in the movie they never told you what is wrong with the doll. Some say she had a psychological problem because no one wanted her, but she would have to have a problem in order to be on the island which is never told. First of all, in my personal opinion, I disagree she had a psychological problem because she is a doll! Also it is a children's movie. As in children I mean, little children. Little children would not understand the concept of psychological problem. It'd be over their head. It would have to be something physical in order to know what is wrong with her. It's more sensible that way. For an example, Charlie in the box, instead of a jack in the box or the gun that shoots out jelly. You can see all those things and why they are misfits! It has to be something that you'd have to see that causes them to be a misfit. Here are some possibilities of why you can never know what is wrong with the doll:

1. The director/ producers/ writers forgot to say what is wrong with her.
2. The makers of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer wanted to leave it a mystery on purpose and make you spot out that no one mentioned what was wrong with her.
3. The producer probably needed her to help tell the story.
4. They probably wanted this doll for a girl since all the other toys seemed to be boyish toys.
So far this is what I can think of unless the writers/producers or director are interviewed and can give an answer. There are no more possibilities that can be found or answered at this point.

Who is more popular frosty or Rudolph?

The story of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer came to life in 1939 by a man named Robert L. May. He wrote it for Montgomery Wards to pass out free to children at Christmas. Around 1949 his brother-in-law, Johnny Marks wrote the lyrics to the song which was made famous by singer Gene Autry. So inspired by that song in 1950 Jack Nelson and Steve Rollins produced the lyrics to Frosty the Snowman also made famous by Gene Autry.

Can you find the 2007 Target Christmas Commercial song to download anywhere?

The Christmas track is not available for download... It was created specifically for the 2007 Target Holiday campaign... From Advertising Age: http://adage.com/songsforsoap/article?article_id=121779&search_phrase=target+christmas "Here in New York, it's 50 degrees, sopping wet and half the leaves are still clinging to their branches. So you know what that means ... it's Christmas jingle time! And Target is here to sate the desire for cheer none of us knew we had with a holiday spot featuring the English lo-fi pop musician Jim Noir.

In perhaps an unwitting nod to "Christmas Is All Around" from "Love Actually," Noir has taken his quirky, almost-antagonistic single "My Patch" and sprinkled it with plenty of holly and snow. What was once "If you ever step on my patch / I'll bring you down / I'll bring you down" is now hilariously "Holidays are times of magic / We're counting down / We're counting down."

And Noir gets away with it too, because his blend of Brian Wilson bedroom-pop is so infectious and unpredictably arranged that one can't help but think that it would make for a killer Christmas album. The plunking strings and (now added) bells feel right at home, and Noir's raspy voice sounds just as sincere on his album as it does in service to rather early holiday shopping. "
