In episode 112, Chibiusa meets a strange girl named Hotaru Tomoe. This is her first real appearance, however, you do not see Sailor Saturn at all, just her civilain form as Hotaru.

In episode 119, it is revealed that Hotaru is Sailor Saturn, the senshi of death and rebirth, and silence. But still, we do not see Sailor Saturn herself yet. We just know by now that she exists and Hotaru is her as well as the Messiah of Silence.

In episode 125, Mistress Nine (The Messiah of Silence, and also Hotaru) calls upon Pharaoh 90 using the Sacred Cup. Then, just before the world is about to be destroyed, Hotaru breaks free. The black star symbol of the Death Busters on Mistress Nine's forehead is shattered, replaced by the glow of Saturn's symbol. With Mistress Nine destroyed, we finally get to see Sailor Saturn in her true form. But she ends up sacrificing her life to stop Pharaoh Ninety, and is reborn as a baby. This is the first, and last, time we see Sailor Saturn in the S season.

Those three episodes coud all be marked as Sailor Saturn's first appearance.

However, in episode 168, Hotaru is reawakened as Sailor Saturn. We see the original Sailor Saturn as Hotaru is once again awakened and given her memories... then, later in the episode, Super Sailor Saturn makes her first appearance with the other Super Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

In Sailor Moon R, episode 53 (47 in the English dub), Usagi and Ami walk by a nursery school and look at all the cute babies. Shortly thereafter, a cardian sent by Ail and An attacks, hoping to get the "fresh energy" from the babies. Sailors Moon and Mercury intervene, saving many of the babies, although some, as well as some of the parents and nursery school workers lose a great deal of their energy. The cardian disappears before they can defeat it, though, leaving Usagi and Mamoru to care for one of the babies, Manami, until his mother recovers.

In the Japanese episode 125, the third-to-last episode of the Sailor Moon S arc, Sailor Moon helps/rescues Sailor Saturn at the end of the episode, after Sailor Saturn enters Pharaoh 90 in an effort to destroy it. Sailor Moon refused to believe that Saturn would have to die to save everyone from Pharaoh 90, and went in after her--emerging from the battle with her Pure Heart crystal floating outside of her body and a baby Hotaru sleeping in her arms.

Surprisingly, no they don't. It's because they weren't from long ago, their mission started after they were already on Earth. Luna and Artemis don't know about Uranus or Neptune, so they won't know about Sailor Moon's past!

EDIT: Yes and no. At their inital appearance in the English anime, they do not know that Serena/Sailor Moon is the reincarnation of the moon princess. Eventually however, they do find out, and are in complete denial, at one point even requesting to fight Sailor Moon to prove she is worthy of her crown as the moon princess and to be leader of the Senshi/Scouts. It is Sailor Uranus who is most adamant about this, and it is also Uranus who is the first to bow to Sailor Moon in apology when she realizes the truth.

Sailor Cosmos never states what, if any, "real" name she had at any point during her appearance in the final acts of the Sailor Moon manga. However, she does reveal that she took on the form of Chibi Chibi in an effort to encourage Sailor Moon/Usagi to destroy the Galaxy Cauldron.

Sailor Ceres states that Cosmos is the "ultimate form of Sailor Moon," but it is believed that this is intentionally vague wording on mangaka Naoko Takeuchi's part, as there's no way to determine if Ceres was referencing Usagi as Sailor Moon, the title of Sailor Moon (which can be passed down to daughters, as Usagi inevitably would do for her daughter, Chibiusa), or something else, such as a future incarnation.

While Mixx (now Tokyopop) still held the rights to Sailor Moon, it published a series of short novellas targeted toward 8-12 year olds that were essentially novelized versions of the animated episodes, with some adaptations.

There were eight published in all, with each novella covering several episodes. Some episodes that never made it to air were included in these novellas, which were adapted by Stuart Levy (Books 1 and 2) and Lianne Sentar (Books 2-8) under the SMILE magazine imprint.

Because they are out-of-print, they can be difficult to find, but they are available inexpensively on sites such as eBay and Amazon.

Another set of novellas, this time targeted toward a younger audience (approx. 4-8 years old), was adapted by Tracey West and published by Scholastic. These stories, unlike those published by Mixx/Tokyopop, start at Sailor Moon R, rather than where Sentar's series left off in the middle of the first season of Sailor Moon.

Like Sentar's novellas, these can also be found on sites such as Amazon.com and eBay, as they no longer appear to be in print.
