What does the anti-lock warning light mean on a 1994 Saturn SC coupe?
It means there is a problem with the ABS. I suggest you take it to a professional for repair. You will still have normal braking even if you do not get it repaired. You however, may not have a functioning ABS.
Why does a 1998 Saturn vibrate so much at idle and have so many rattles?
Because 1998 Saturns suck. I have one, so I should know ;) Honestly, it's either your throttle, a clogged fuel line or a misfiring spark plug. It is common for the upper motor mount to wear out and cause excessive vibration especially at low RPMs. It is easy to replace yourself at a cost of about $90. It is in plain view and located on the belt and accessories side of the engine. To replace, first support the engine from underneath with a jack and block of wood on the oil pan. Second, remove the bolts on the motor mount and install new mount and the bolts supplied. Third, make sure you torque the bolts to the proper specs. That's it! It took me about 45 minutes. Immediate improvement in noise and vibration.
What are the colors for the positive speaker wires for the front and rear of a stock 1994 Saturn sl?

Where can I purchase Dexron III Saturn Transmission fluid?
the dealership or part source(canada) auto zone/pepboys (usa)
As the engine wears vacuum to PVC valve increases drastically. It then begins to suck oil from the valve cover into the intake manifold. Simply cut the hose from the intake to the PVC valve at about the middle and slide both ends over a piece of plastic or metal that's at least an inch long. Make sure the plug you make is a snug fit inside the hoses or use a couple of clamps to secure the plug.
General Motors discontinued their line of Saturn automobiles. Saturn vehicles are no longer being manufactured.
Where is a 2000 Saturn ls1 Blower motor resistor Location?
Behind the control panel for the center console.
What is a passive restraint module and how do you fix it?
A Passive Restraint Control Module (PRCM) generally is usually a electronic
component that activates a passive restraint such as air bags or automatic
shoulder belts.
For example, the PRCM in some models of Mercury Villager activates the front shoulder belt drive. When the ignition switch is turned on and the door is closed the door latch switch closes which signals the PRCM to activate the shoulder belt driver to move the shoulder belt buckle carriage from the front to the rear position. When the door is opened the door latch switch opens which causes the PRCM to activate the shoulder belt drive to move the shoulder belt drive carriage from the rear to the front position.
Repair of PRCMs is generally not recommended for many reasons. Most are
not repairable, and the consequences of a faulty repair could be fatal. In some
cases a PRCM can be replaced by an experienced mechanic or automotive
electronics technician with common shop tools.
Can a 96 Saturn engine be put in to a 95 Saturn?
Yes, although there are some differences. The 96 is OBDII so you will have to keep the ignition and throttle body from the 95.
The 95 also has two temp sensors where the 96 only has one so you will have to do a little splicing there.
What wires go where on my starter and coil on a 1968 camaro?
The starter solenoid has two small posts, one marked "S" the other marked "R". There should be a small purple wire in the harness that attaches to the "S" post and a small yellow wire that goes to the "R" post. The positive battery feed attaches to the large post. The coil should have a small black wire coming from the distributor attached to the post marked "neg" on the coil. The pos side of the coil should have a small yellow wire and a resister type wire attached. The resister wire has a white cloth like covering.
Press and hold the volume knob. Then use the left or right arrow keys on the "Tune Seek" button to set the time. The left arrow advances the Hours and the right arrow advances the Minutes.
How do you locate the ac drain on a 2002 Saturn L200 Series?
After discovering that both my driver's side and passenger's side floor mats were considerably--and noting that they did not smell like gas, coolant, or chemicals--I did an online search. There are numerous places advising that you should clean out the A/C drain, but no diagrams on where that drain is. I'm not a car guy; I did not even know what a "firewall" was while reading these things. So this is an answer for an absolute newbie when it comes to car repairs (like myself).
On a Saturn 2002 L200, the A/C drain is in the middle of the firewall (or the very back panel you see when you lift the hood of the car). It's near the middle of the firewall, but look downward towards the bottom. This is an "L" shaped tube that connects to....nothing. Nothing at it. It's the place where condensation from A/C use should drain (You'll note this on hot days when there's a puddle of H20 under your car after using the A/C). When it's clogged, the water has to go somewhere, and that's how it ended up on my floormats.
I simply found a wire hanger, and used the "hook" end to get under the "L" and jimmy out some debris. No need to get under the car, no need for mechanics wire. It took ten seconds and water came dripping out. Easy fix.
How do you repair rear passenger window in SL2 1999 Saturn?
That depends on what's wrong with the window? If it's just broken glass, first you need to purchase a replacement.
Next, remove the outer door skin. The inner door panel does not come off, so don't waste your time trying to figure that out.
Lift on the outer door handle enough to expose the retaining pins on the under side of the handle. Use a small punch or small diameter rod to push the retaining pins out, then remove the handle.
Open the door and remove the screws from around the perimeter of the door skin. Make sure you have something/some one to support the door skin so that it doesn't fall to the ground and get scratched.
After you have removed all of the screws, carefully lift the door skin off to expose the inner workings of the door.
Run the window frame as far down as it will go, then remove the glass channel.
Clean up any broken glass so that it doesn't trap debris or interfere with the movement of the new glass.
CAREFULLY, slide the new glass into the appropriate space and align it with the window regulator hardware. You may need to loosen a few of the bolts to get the glass channel into the rollers, but once it's all exposed, you should be able to figure it out.
Test the window to make sure everything is aligned properly, and you may want to lubricate the tracks and seals. Use silicone spray to lubricate the seals.
After everything works properly, put the door skin back, followed by the outer door handle.
NOTE! If you damage the pins that hold the handle, you should be able to purchase replacements from your local Chev dealership, IF they have agreed to stock Saturn parts.
Good luck.
change it yourself for much less.three easy steps;1-unscrew drainplug under trans and unscrew filter from side of trans let them drain(car should be ran until fully warmed up before you begin work)2-replace filter on side of trans and reinstall drainplug under trans.3-slowly pour 4.5 to 5 quarts atf back into trans through dipstick(pour too fast it will spit fluid back on you)should only cost @$25 or less.dealer probably over $100 for same service.
You can use a High temp RTV type sealer for your saturn valve cover. Use Permetex Red or Grey for the best seal. make sure both surfaces are clean, and dry.
How do you align rear wheels on a Saturn sl2?

Your key is stuck in the ignition of your 2004 Saturn Ion2 and is still in the ON position?
Take it to the Saturn dealership, they will fight with it, probably replace the ignition, and pat you on the back. 6 months will creep by, and the problem will start again. Get out of the Saturn(s) if you can. -experience.
(improved answer) The ignition on the Saturn is very tight and usually causes thinning of the key. The buildup of brass gets into the mechanisms within the ignition cylinder. First lubricate the lock if possible. Then attempt to move to the accessory position and turn off. If this can't be done, then call a locksmith to remove the key- they are way cheaper than a dealer and you would probably save the ignition.
The common procedure for a locksmith is to get the key to at least the accessory position. If the lock will not push in and turn through manipulation of the key, then the key will usually be drilled out. Again, a locksmith is the best for this because of their knowledge and ability not to destroy the lock. with drilling the actual key (which would be broken off even with the ignition) the vibration and rocking will usually cause the release mechanism to eject and the ignition to turn back off. The key can then be removed and a new one cut. When the key is out, lube the heck out of the cylinder to wash out all the accumulated brass.
How do you change antifreeze on a 2003 Saturn ion-3?

How often does retrograde motion happen for Saturn?
Saturn will retrograde, in respect to background stars, about every 378 days. It's retrograde movement lasts for a period of about 138 days.
What is drive cycle for 2001 Saturn?
OBD-II Driving Cycle
If you have a 96 or newer vehicle you have the OBD-II diagnostic system. This system is constantly monitoring the sensors and solenoids on the engine. If you have replaced the battery, disconnected the battery or cleared the codes after making a repair you will need to do what is called a "Driving Cycle". This will perform a diagnostic on all the systems the computer monitors. This cycle can be done in under fifteen minutes.
To perform an OBDII Driving cycle do the following:
1. Cold Start
In order to be classified as a cold start the engine coolant temperature must be below 50ºC (122ºF) and within 6ºC (11ºF) of the ambient air temperature at startup. Do not leave the key on prior to the cold start or the heated oxygen sensor diagnostic may not run.
2. Idle
The engine must be run for two and a half minutes with the air conditioner on maximum and rear defroster on. The more electrical load you can apply the better. This will test the O2 heater, Passive Air, Purge "No Flow", Misfire and if closed loop is achieved, Fuel Trim.
3. Accelerate
Turn off the air conditioner and all the other loads and apply half throttle until 88km/hr (55mph) is reached. During this time the Misfire, Fuel Trim, and Purge Flow diagnostics will be performed.
4. Hold Steady Speed
Hold a steady speed of 88km/hr (55mph) for 3 minutes. During this time the O2 response, air Intrusive, EGR, Purge, Misfire, and Fuel Trim diagnostics will be performed.
5. Decelerate
Let off the accelerator pedal. Do not shift, touch the brake or clutch. It is important to let the vehicle coast along gradually slowing down to 32km/hr (20 mph). During this time the EGR, Purge and Fuel Trim diagnostics will be performed.
6. Accelerate
Accelerate at 3/4 throttle until 88-96 km/hr (55-60mph). This will perform the same diagnostics as in step 3.
7. Hold Steady Speed
Hold a steady speed of 88km/hr (55mph) for five minutes. During this time, in addition to the diagnostics performed in step 4, the catalyst monitor diagnostics will be performed. If the catalyst is marginal or the battery has been disconnected, it may take 5 complete driving cycles to determine the state of the catalyst.
8. Decelerate
This will perform the same diagnostics as in step 5. Again, don't press the clutch or brakes or shift gears.
