I constantly itch everywhere but the front part of my face, there is nothing noticably wrong until i start scratching, little bumps start to appear and my skin turns pink after i stop scratching the skin returns to normal color but the bumps stil remain for a while, sometimes longer. I've had chicken poxs and measles and as far as i know I'm not allergic to anything. I don't appear to have dry skin and i still itch after taking a bath/changing clothes/sheets and after making other hygenic efforts. Why am i so itchy? Please help!

Treatment by topical OTC products like Monistat or Lamisil are usually very effective. Make sure you use them long enough to actually cure the initial infection (10 days). After that, prevention of infection is more helpful. Change your underwear twice a day. Use of cornstarch containing baby powders may help to keep the area dry.

Itching is typically worse at night, because during the day you have your mind on more important things. At night when you go to bed, and have nothing in particular to think about, your itching becomes more noticeable.

Sulphur soap is indicated I would advise against it as borax is a skin irritant. If just a teaspoon is swallowed by a child, it will kill them. If they are lucky, then it would simply leave them with their skin peeling off. You do not want this stuff to absorb through the skin and into the bloodstream (which it does). If I had scabies I would use borax but I would be sure to wash it off after just a couple of minutes. Don't soak in it.

Try quell lotion for scabies. It's available over the counter at your local pharmacy. Elimite is another product that works. Good luck.

This is an extreme solution, But if all else fails try this. Take a very hot bath or shower. When you get out imediately douse yourself all over with alcohol. There are two things it could be, the child could have been bitten by an insect or might have a dirty pores. With a bite, try puts some soothing cream on and make sure they dont itch at it. With dirty pores make sure they wash their face with a flannel everyday.

The clear fluid that's coming out is sweat. There's nothing alarming happening. Your body is reacting to the burn by building lots of new layers of skin, and the top ones are drying up in preparation for peeling. Sometimes that makes sweat glands blocked (particularly with heavy use of aloe) but they're just blocked by the outermost layer of dead skin. The aloe is not a problem, i fact it's antibacterial, so it's good. but picking at or scratching at the bumps is likely to damage the new tissue underneath. So shower a little more to wash off the dead skin, and wash with soap to take off some more of that outer layer. Don't scour or scratch the skin, but sometimes blasting cold water directly on the burn while you rub it gently will help. At least that's what's helped me many times in the past.

I have talked to many doctors already, and done some research myself. Most of them say that the mites will be gone within a day, but you may itch up to 2-3 weeks because the skin is still irritated.
