Why nitrogin bubbles in scuba diving?
This is because you dive, and because of Boyle's and Gay-Lussac's law, your blood basically takes in the nitrogen gas like carbonated water. Boyle's law causes gases to have impartial pressures, and so you would absorb oxygen instead of nitrogen because of the impartial pressures of gases.
What should scuba air smell like?
Compressed air used for SCUBA should smell like regular air. There may be a slight rubber smell from the regulator. When in doubt, it is safer to get your tank refilled than to dive on contaminated air.
free diving is where a group or one person goes into the sea and dives; without a oxygen tank. they then proceed to go as far down as they can and the one who goes the furthest down wins. free divers are required to have a good lung capacity and as healthy body, it is advised NOT to try this, free divers are proffesionals and have had many years of training. When was scuba first used by the military?
It is hard to put an exact date on this because it was probably top secret. Being under water is covert and many submarine war devices were considered 'unsporting' or at the very least you wouldn't let people know you were employing such nefarious devices. Submersible designs intended for military applications date to the 1620 but it was probably in 1808 when Sieur, who was in the Napoleonic Navy created the first re-breather that military applications were considered using what you might call scuba. in 1900 re-breathers were mass produced for submarine escape and the availability of these units meant they were used widely from then for spear-fishing etc. 'Frogmen' from various countries used re-breathers in the second world war extensively for covert operations planting mines and overcoming submarine defences.

A semi dry suit is one which is usually made of neoprene. It actually lets waterin so you will initially feel cold but because the neck and wrist seals are quite tight, the water flow is restricted so your body heat will warm up the water. ot sure why they call it a semi dry mind you, you syill get wet! A dry suit has rubbber seals which don't let water in in the first place. I prefer to dive on a dry suit because the diving I do is usually in cold water. A semi dry is perhaps best used in temperatures of 13-20C. Each person is different so will feel the heat differently. You can also get different thicknesses of a semi dry suit so you should pick one for the type of diving you do. I think they usually come in as 3mm, 5mm, 7mm. Obviously, the thicker it is, the warmer you will be. Some people however don't like the thicker ones as they find it restircts movement a little. This is why I prefer a dry suit since the suit itself is just a membrance but I cano alter how much I wear underneath depending on the water temperature.
Hope this helps. If not, drop me a message!
