To make custom dress shirts, the most common things that you need is a knowledge of tailoring and then a knowledge of machine sewing. You will need a sewing machine, pattern paper, tape measure, pins and thread plus various other small accessories.

There are many ways to re-make t-shirts. One popular way is to cut the neckline into a square neckline, or boat neckline, and sew a fold over facing for it. You need to buy transfer paper from a stationary shop. Make sure you get the right one for your printer (inkjet/laser). It has instructions on the packet but basically once you have printed onto it you cut out the image and iron it onto the fabric. You usually have to handwash it. You can machine wash it but it looks rubbish after a few washes.
