Are sharks endothermic or exothermic?
Most sharks are ectothermic, but some (namely the Great White) can produce their own body heat. They do this by using the heat produced by burning energy from pumping their blood. As blood is pumped to the body, the blood moving back to the heart gives off its heat which is picked up by the cold blood. In this way, some sharks can be warmblooded, but most are ectothermic.
Where can you shoot a shark with a spear gun and kill it instantly?
There is no guaranteed spot to shoot a shark with a spear gun and kill it instantly. The effectiveness of a shot depends on several factors such as the size of the shark, the type of gun and spear used, and the accuracy of the shot. It is important to prioritize safety when encountering sharks in the wild.
What is the least dangerous shark?
great white, tiger, bull shark, oceanic white tip and lemon Well the Bull shark/ Zambezi shark is the number one most aggressive shark. It is also the most deadly shark. The Tiger shark would have to be the next most aggressive. Then the Oceanic White tip shark. After that, the Black tip shark. And finally the Great white.
Why are blacktip sharks endangered?
Overfishing is the main reason, but also because females only give birth every 2 to 3 years instead of every year. Also, most females give birth to an average of only 4 pups at a time, unlike other species (for example, the hammerhead can give birth to 30 or 40 pups). Black tips are one of the shorter lived sharks, only living for about 12 years. However, they don't reach sexual maturity until they're 4 years of age. That leaves them only 8 years to reproduce, doing so only every 2-3 years.
Sharks are top predators in their ecosystems and are typically not hunted by other animals. However, larger sharks may prey on smaller or younger sharks, and some marine mammals, such as orcas, are known to occasionally hunt sharks.
Sharks can camouflage because some have dark skin on the top therefore if another shark is looking down at it it would camouflage with the dark sea. It's bottom is white because if another shark is looking up at it it would camouflage by the brightness of the sky and sun.
The cheap crappy ones in souvenir shops are preserved by soaking fully submerged in formaldehyde for approx 6 months, then marbles are placed in the eye sockets and allowed to dry. All meat is still present and can rot as well as draw bugs.
The slightly better ones are freeze dried in a $20,000 machine.
All meat is still present and can rot as well as draw bugs.
The best ones are done by a competent taxidermist. They are fully fleshed of all meat, and fat, and brains including the inside of the jaw bones and upper pallet, then tanned. After tanning the tongue and throat are rebuilt using casts of real ones.
Not any way to do one at home, I am afraid.

How many speartooth sharks are left?
There is limited data available on the current population of speartooth sharks. They are considered to be a critically endangered species, with estimates suggesting that there may only be a few hundred individuals left in the wild. Efforts are being made to monitor and conserve these rare sharks to prevent their extinction.
How often do mako sharks have babies?
Depending on what type of shark it is but the great white shark doesn't have a set amount of times it eats instead Great white sharks assess the energy value of prey in the first bite. If the prey doesn't have enough energy value to justify the energy needed for a full-scale attack, the shark releases it. If however the great white perceives the prey to be energy rich, it will give a devastating, powerful bite and wait for the prey to bleed to death. White sharks swallow creatures without chewing them, and can swallow objects half their size.

Here is a link that will take you to a picture of a goblin shark: http://www.flickr.com/photos/segana/210494689/
Goblin sharks (Mitsukurina owstoni) are one of the most weird shark species, along with the Megamouth shark (Megachasma pelagios) and other strange deep sea sharks, most probably many others still unknown to marine science.
Its very long snout and the strange protuberant jaws are typical of long ago extinct shark species from the Cretaceous period.
The Goblin shark is considered a «living fossil».
I would advise you to search in the internet for pictures, and judge for yourself...
What is the largest shark found in british coastal waters?

Why do sea snakes have fins on there back?
The fins act as stabilizer's. When the snake would make "S" movements in the water it was hard for it not to flip over at some point. So, it has developed fins on its back to works as a stabilizers which help to keep it right-side-up.
Sharks do have backbones, making them vertebrates. Their skeletons are made mostly of cartilage and not actual bone, being of a more ancient classification of fish in evolutionary terms.
Whether something is cute or not is subjective, however sharks aren't exactly an animal that have the head/body porportions similar to what humans usually see as cute, they don't look neotonous (like babies).

What does the frilled shark eat?
Taken from Elasmo-Research.org Known from scattered marine locations around the globe, most Frilled Shark specimens have come from Japanese waters. The majority of captures are thought to be from near the bottom, at depths of 400 to 4,200 feet (120 to 1,280 metres), but these may be an artifact of the method of capture: with deep-sea longlines and bottom gill nets, it is often impossible to determine whether a capture was made at the set depth, on the way down, or on the way back up. Recent evidence from stomach contents suggests that the Frilled Shark sometimes makes forays far from the bottom into midwater.
Is it true that sharks can smell blood from miles away?
Yes, sharks have a keen sense of smell and can detect blood in the water from miles away. Their ability to detect even tiny amounts of blood helps them locate potential prey.
Yes, centipedes are cold-blooded organisms, meaning they rely on the external environment to regulate their body temperature. They will seek out warm areas to increase their body temperature and slow down in cooler conditions.
By NO means no. Anyone who chooses to judge anyone in any way should take a really good look in the mirror. Appearances are only skin deep and should not even be considered. There are too many other things that define us as individuals.
sorry, there is over 400 different species of shark. I think that is virtually impossible
I know 75 !!
