Can shingles be located in a cluster on the inside of your upper arm?

I believe it can. I'm a 20 year old female and I was diagnosed with shingles on the inside of my upper left arm. It's in a cluster as well. At first I thought it was ringworm. But my doctor said it was shingles brought on by stress. So now whenever I'm extremely stressed I get another outbreak on my arm. Go to your doctor! If you do soon they can help keep the pain from lasting longer after the outbreak. I hope I've helped!

Where can you find instructions on how to shingle a geodesic dome home?

You may try looking on all of the sites on "Buckminster Fuller" or "bucky balls". Buckminster was the originator of the geodesic dome. There might be some valid information connected with his name. I've built a couple of geodesic domes and in both cases, had them roofed by a roofing contractor who specializes in geo-dome roofing. He travels throughout the US and Canada roofing new domes and replacing roofs on those that were poorly done by others. Putting roofing on a geodesic dome, while not terribly complicated, is a little different than roofing traditionally pitched roofs with the occasional hip or valley or ridge or pitch change. The pentagons of a dome are constructed of triangles, each meeting the adjoining triangle on a different plane, creating a network of hips. To roof these effectively requires attention to detail and knowing to lace each course of shingles on each triangle well onto it's neighbor. I, personally, would be reluctant to roof a geodesic dome as a DIY project, and I've done quite a bit of roofing over the years.

Shingles Symptoms Could Be Serious?

An encore performance of the chickenpox virus, varicella-zoster, can result in a painful and sometimes dangerous condition known as shingles, or herpes zoster. The virus can reactivate years after a bout of chickenpox, predominantly manifesting itself as an itchy, prickling rash. Nerve pain confined to one particular area of the body before the appearance of a rash is very common. In some cases, the virus' reactivation begins with flu-like symptoms, with the exception of a fever. The tell-tale sign of the shingles virus is the bumpy rash that forms days after the initial pain. Stinging, site-specific pain and itching at the rash site are the most common and intense symptoms, according to Mayoclinic.org. Though the pain is usually the first indicator, the small, red bumps that form a shingles rash are the first visual cues that the virus has reactivated and multiplied. The rash can develop anywhere on the body but is usually confined to a small section or strip of skin and only occurs on one side of the body. In some moderate shingles cases, the bumps merge to form a solid red band. The rash may wrap completely around the right or left side of the body, and it can even appear on the face and around one eye. Serious shingles infections near the eye can cause blindness if not treated immediately. Within three to five days, the bumps that form the rash fill with fluid, becoming blisters. These blisters fill with pus, burst open and then crust over after two or three weeks. About a month after their initial appearance, the blisters heal completely, the body sloughing off any remaining crust. The pain associated with a shingles rash is unlike other skin irritations because the virus utilizes the nerve roots responsible for sending sensation to the skin, traveling along the same path as the nerve endings. This is also the cause of the band-like appearance of this rash. Shingles can occur in any individual who has had the chickenpox, but the virus most frequently affects those over the age of 60 and people chronic diseases that lower immunity.

How many shingles to cover the roof crown?

Shingles vary in dimensions, and sometimes there are specific bundles of shingles made for the sole purpose of ridge coverage. If you are using the house shingles for ridge, take the length of ridge to be covered, divided by the exposure of the shingle to determine the number of ridge pieces needed. Normally you will get three pieces out of one full shingle. Once you determine the number of full shingles, find out how many shingles are in a bundle and purchase the smallest bundle of shingles necessary to complete the job.
