A 'W W Greener Mark III' probably refers to a W W Greener Mk III Police Gun made in large quantities for police and prison services primarily for riot control purposes. The Mk III had a special firing pin with three prongs and fired a special cartridge to prevent unauthorised use. The cartridge base had an annular groove running around the base so that the two outside prongs of the firing pin entered the groove when the gun was fired allowing the centre prong to detonate the cartridge. If normal ammunition was inserted into the breech the outside prongs would hit the base of the cartridge preventing the center prong from detonating the cap. The original Mk I was invented in 1921 and the Mk III with modified cartridge and firing pin was invented in 1935.

from what I have the 28 " 2 3/4 & 3" magnum barrel is aprox .060 and the smooth bore slugster barrel(24") is aprox .073...I also saw on a post that the 2 3/4 non magnum barrell was .108 (aprox )

Nowhere. Shotguns marked Rogers Arms were a hardware gun, made by Hood Firearms. Common practice back then- order a run of guns, we'll put any name on there you like. The term "hardware gun" came from the number of hardware stores that did this.

If they are straight pins I would get some drill rod or pin stock down at the hardware store, put the pin stock in an electric drill mounted in a bench vise & file the pin stock down to the proper diameter. Use the drill as a lathe. Or, See if you can find your model shotgun on the Numrich gun parts website. They'll charge you an arm & leg but they might have the parts.

Ranger on Browning Patent This was sold by Sears , but made by Stevens between 1912 and 1942. It was not made by Browning. Typically they are valued between $100-$250 depending on condition.

Depends a lot on whether it is a single barrel, double, pump, bolt action, or automatic. Also--and mainly--its condition. Not a collectors item. Value would be for a hunting gun. Bob

The Model 50 was available in 12 or 20 gauge and was introduced in 1967. It was dropped from production in 1975.

The collector value can only be assessed by a visual inspection & evaluation. Old Winchesters are very much like old classic automobiles... the graded condition and factory originality are the key factors in determining what they are truly worth. Bert H.
