Priceless as a family heirloom, but otherwise only valued as a mantle decoration. Typically, $125-150.

Made sometime between 1893 and 1930. Being a .410, probably not before 1920 and certainly not before 1900. The price is going to depend on configuration and condition. A double barrel .410 in absolutely like new condition might be worth $400 or more. A single shot worn out, rusted, or broken about $5.

• Crescent introduced hammerless guns to it's inventory in 1904. I don't have a firm date for the introduction of the .410 shotgun shell, but I believe it was about that same time. To qualify as an antique as defined by the Gun Control Act of 1968, it must have been made before midnight, December 31, 1998. Since there are no serial number records from Crescent, there is no way to verify the actual year of manufacture, so if the model was made after that date, they assume that your gun was NOT made before then. And as for the value, these were hardware-store guns, there were millions of them sold in the early 20th century, so those few collectors who want one have many to choose from and only the most well-preserved will bring a high price. Some may still be useable, but if you wanted a gun to shoot, you can get a NEW utility grade single shot for $75 or double barrel for $250, so why would you pay more for an old one?

Made between 1920 and 1948. There may be a letter and a number in a small circle on the bottom of the receiver, between the trigger guard and hinge, that will tell the exact year, but this is often worn off. It should be worth $200-$250. A replaced stock shouldn't hurt its value as a shooter.

Between 1880 and the start of WWI, millions of inexpensive utility shotguns were imported from Belgium. Most are not marked with the actual maker's name. Some of the trade names used have been associated to particular retailers or importers. Usually sell as mantle decorations for $125-$150.

My 16 ga that I bought when I was 11, I'm 53 now is full and modified. It's killed countless rabbits squirrels, pheasants, quail, ducks and other assorted animals including a deer. Great first gun, but I still love it.

If you google Krieghoff shotgun, you will see several sites that have numerous Krieghoffs for sale. The prices range from $3,000 to $60,000 depending on model and condition.

If it is a fully functional (have it checked by an experienced gunsmith) gun with fluid steel barrels, back hammers or hammerless, it should bring $200+ as a shooter. If it has side hammers and twist steel barrels, it's worth $125-$150 as a mantle decoration.

William, I bought my Ted Williams 200 from Sears in 1972 or 1973. I remember that they had a "sale" on them and I bought mine for around $125. It still works great! ! Ed

Utica Firearms was a trade name used by the Simmons Hardware Company of St. Louis, Missouri on firearms they retailed circa 1900. It could have been manufactured by any of a dozen makers. Like any other 100-year-old tool or machine, parts are where you find them. You may be able to get parts that fit (or can be made to fit) from a local gunsmith or at a gunshow, but no one will have a catalog number for "Utica firing pins".

This gun was made from 1937 to 1965. The Standard Catalog says $50 in NRA Good, but I doubt if it would sell quite that low.

It's worth $125-$150 as a mantle decoration. If it's really silver and engraved, not nickel and roll-stamped, it may be worth a bit more. Don't try to shoot it.

East German proofs would indicate manufacture within the past 60 years, so it's not an old collectable. There's no guide book for German sporting guns, so it's sort of depends on how badly the seller wants to be rid of it and how badly the buyer wants to have it. You might search auction sites like gunbroker.com to see if you can find something similar being offered.

Nitro King was a Sears Roebuck brand name made by Crescent Arms, 1908-1917.

Try your local gunsmith. The Riverside is a Stevens shotgun. If you can find out which model it is, you can probably find the wood at Numrich Gunparts

I have a note in my database stating that this name was used by Harrington & Richardson on guns made between 1910 and 1940.

Bay State Arms produced firearms from the 1870's to the 1880's. Most of the shotguns were produced from 1890-1910, by a different company under the Bay State name.

The original Bay State Arms Company was taken over by Hopkins & Allen about 1888 but was still actively producing rifles until 1895, and Harrington & Richardson bought the right to the trade name in 1907. Harrington & Richardson made shotguns under this name from 1908 until 1942.

The age of this gun, if it has no suffix on the model#,was probably made between 1942 and 1950.The value on this gun, in very good condition, is around $80.00 to $100.00. I do buy them for parts and to restore if your thinking of selling your old single. Let me know. Thanks and God Bless, Ken

Tom the Bomb- Savage made the 220 in 12-16-20-410.(not sure about 28). Barrel length varied from 26 to 32 inch. I have a 20ga /30"F and a 12ga /32"F. My 12 has a Monte Carlo stock and easily reaches the trap birds just before they hit dirt.Savage also used this action for model 219, their single shot rifle.Chambered for 22 Hornet,25-20,30-30,32-20,& 9mm rimfire.

Even if only in fair condition, it is probably still worth $125-$150 as a mantle decoration, as long as it has all the external parts and isn't dripping rust.

Chicago Arms Co was a trade name used by Hibbard, Spencer, and Bartlett on shotguns imported from (mostly) Belgium. The dates you have been given would be in the range for that company to have been the retailer, but I think too early for a slide action. In the condition you describe, it will be worth very little. If you wanted to buy one, you would probably have a hard time finding one for sale, but if you want to sell it you may have an even harder time finding an interested buyer.

Using NRA guidelines, "Fair" condition implies that has no original finish and may need some repairs. If this is true, it may be worth $20 as a parts gun. But, if it is fully functioning, it should bring about $200. The 16 gauge would bring a bit less where I live, but I was recently told that it is a plus in some areas.

Don't see many catalog named shotguns, but keep watching the online auction sites like gunbroker.com. If you will settle for "similar" look for the names Stevens, Riverside, and Springfield. Most of the Montgomery Ward doubles were some version of the Stevens 311.

It all depends on what you want to do with it. The XL-900 is in my eyes the best auto loader ever made (20gauge with slug barrel) for deer hunting.I have been trying to purchase one for many years.There are not alot of these guns for sale(everone who has them will not sell them). I think a fair market price for one in good condition is around $500.

Some of the 900XL shotguns have the stainless plating on the actions that include engraving. Usually the value will increase by 100-150 dollars given the condition of the gun.

I just purchased a 12 gauge 900XL for $225 at my local gun shop, but it has a poly-choke.
