the best place to skate is an empty parking lot, if your starting off. make sure the parking lot is skate able, like no little pebbles here and there. once you get better; i'd say able to ollie a board, go to the local skatepark, and the world is at your hands from there on. But if your more interested in park skating then just go for it cos' i can nearly drop-in on a half pipe and i cant even ollie

after u learnn kickflips and shove its, try learning heel flips. i like to classify my tricks into groups. Grop1 is the the simplist and consits of olie's, shove its and manuels. Group 2 consists of basic fliptricks like kickflips and heelflisp and variables of both. Group 3 consists of complex flip tricks like Hardflips, Treflips, Hospital Flips and other flip tricks that may be compounds of 2 easier ones. try to learn tricks within the group you feel you can do best and then SLOWLY progress through the higher groups. =]

there is a mission where you have to skitch on a beaver's RC car and then jump off a ramp then wallplant on the control box. a skitch is when you hold on to the back of a car. if you're playing the xbox 360 version you have to press up on the d-pad to skitch

Vans do not give like a magical ability to skateboard, however, they do enable you to keep better balanced and comfort while skateboarding. The inside of the vans, like most skateboarding shoes, have a soft inside that does not rub the skin. The bottom of vans and other skateboarding shoes are flat which also helps the balance of the skater.

yes it is. The best thing about the ripstik air pro is that the lightweight design with the caster spring makes the ripstik land more straight than you would expect, the normal ripstik does not have this.

The Ripstik Air Pro is good if you plan on doing lots of tricks. It weighs less, so it is easier to do jumps. However, if you do not wish to do tricks and just want to ride around, the Classic is just fine. It can turn better and can do the swively motions better. It also costs less. The fact that it weighs more also means you can go faster and skate over more things without falling. This is good if you plan on going fast and don't feel like watching out for pine cones, twigs, or other obstacles that may be in the way. It can also go over manhole covers and bumpy surfaces better. This is just my opinion. I have used a Classic much more than an Air. I do not actually own an Air, I use one that belongs to someone I know.
