In my opinion, all episodes are great... but some just take the cake over others, and shine out of all the rest. My personal favourite episodes are those of the mid-seasons, like seaons 6-10.

Where did the name of south park come from?
Technically at the University of Colorado, I believe, because Matt and Trey were taking a film class there and they had to make a short. So they created, "The Spirit of Christmas" in it there features two characters who are very similar to Stan and Kyle and two other characters that look like Kenny and Cartman except that Cartman is named "Kenny" and he therefore dies and the whole "Oh my god they killed Kenny! You bastards!" thing was said to him instead of the Kenny we know and love now.
