your krag rifle can go for between 400-1750 dollars depending on condition and whether it is a rifle or carbine model,and its rare it is.I would have it apprasied by a pro.

This is a handgun, either revolver or automatic, which requires manual cocking of the hammer to fire the gun. Examples include the Colt Single Action Army (the classic cowboy gun) for revolvers and the Model 1911 for automatics.

A double action pistol will cock the hammer and fire the gun simply by pulling the trigger.

No such animal. The Springfield 1863 & 1863 Type-II (AKA 1864) were both 58 cal muzzle loaders. This is most likely a post war conversion.

The "Springfield Automatic Shotgun" is a clone of the Browning A5 produced by Savage/Springfield.

The Browning A5 is credited as being the first semi automatic shotgun design ever produced. It is a recoil operated, tube magazine fed gun with a reciprocating barrel. It has a 5 round capacity, one in the chamber and 4 in the magazine.

Recoil is managed and harnessed by a system of friction rings and spring that can be set up in different configurations to maximize operation with different powered loads.

Mine is on the left side of the receiver just in front of the opening where the cartridges are loaded.

I don't know about other countries, but in the U.S. the standard issue handgun is the Beretta M9 which is basically the same as a 92FS. Some units in the military such as the SEALs, use other guns...Sig 226, I believe.

You need to start by doing some more research into what the rifle is. After the 1840s, all Springfield muzzle loading rifles were caplock, so there were no 1862s converted.

Also, in order to determine value, the rifle has to be graded for condition. This needs to be done professionally to get it right.
