Suboxone

Hey, I am prescibed both Suboxone and Hydroxyzine both from the same doctor. He obviously thinks its okay to take these two medications together, but then again he also prescribed me Xanax while I was on Suboxone. Personally the only reason I go to this doctor is because he is one of the only places that I can get Suboxone from. Other than for that reason I would never go there. I trust him to a certain extent ,but then again i don't trust him 100%. I have been coming to this site to see if somone has answered this question, but still no answer.

There is no point of even trying to chew a Suboxone, I mean you can but it won't really effect you at all. If you place it under your tongue, the vains under your tongue with absorb the Suboxone and it will immediately storm into your bloodstream and the effects will hit you within about 30 to 60 minutes.

dude you seriously do not need to take hydro if you've been off subs for 5 days.

i agree with the above statement....if you have been off the subs for 5 days you dont need anything......just hang in there and good luck on your road to recovery

Hydrocodone is a full agonist Buprinorphine is a partial agonist/antagonist

*I don't know if I'm doing this right, but Ill answer anyways- hydrocodone is an opiate...yaknow, oxy's heroin, vic, perc etc. when you are addicted and you want to get off, the doctor prescribes subutex/suboxone (Suboxone includes naltrexone) It is a partial synthetic opiate and attaches to your receptor sites so that you don't have withdrawl basically. It binds really tight to the receptor sites, so if you were to take say a hydro, the buprenorphin (subutex) would kick it out cuz its stronger. trust me.

^ Just as said^ if you take the sub and then try and take a full agonist such as hydro or even heroin the bupe in the sub will not budge and you wont get the desired affect. (the only exception being if you only did a very small amount of suboxone or subutex).

now flip it. If you take a dose of hydro heroin Oxycontin anything and then take some suboxone the buprenorphine is going to knock those other opiates right off your receptors and you will go through withdrawal. After 30mins to an hour the Bupe will situate itself and you will feel better but don't try it, it's really not something you want to test out and it's a waste of money.

You could but it would be a great waste of good drugs as the blockade effect of dopamine receptors of Suboxone with Bupe will also block some of the pleasurable and "nootropic" (stimulating) effects of the GHB. Better not to mix drugs at all. GHB is not a good one to mix anything with!

Naltrexone is a narcotic antagonist, which means that it blocks the effects of any narcotic in your body. It has a similar chemical structure to some narcotics, but does not have effects on your body like a narcotic does.

I am getting off of pain killers and my doc prescibes suboxone. He later added promethazine to enhanse or extend the effects of suboxone and it works well together. I no longer get sick or get that lousy feeling as long as I'm taking suboxone and promethazine together. Had lots of success with the combination.

WELL YOU CAN DEFINETLY SUGGEST IT, THERE ARE A LOT OF PRESCRIBED DRUGS THAT YOU DOCTOR CAN GIVE YOU, JUST LET HIM KNOW THAT YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING SOME OVER THE COUNTER WEIGHT LOSS PILL BUT THAT YOU WANT TO ASK HIS OPINION OF COURSE HE IS GOING TO SAY "DON'T DO IT", BUT IF YOU HAVE MADE UP YOUR MIND TELL HIM THAT YOU WILL FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE TAKING DRUGS THAT HE COULD PRESCRIBE AND THAT MEANS YOU WILL BE TAKING THEM UNDER HIS SUPERVISION,WHICH WILL BE WAY BETTER THEN TAKING THEM ON YOUR OWN. Yes of course you can but it is not reccomended. I keep my suboxone dose at 4mg and when i do bars i never do more than 2-3mg and have had no problems at all

i would imagine you would. i have taken a 80 mg oxy before my test and it didnt show and i have been taking them for about 7-8 months everyday before the test. and subs are only half a opiate.. You will pass 99% of drug tests if you have suboxone (buprenorphine HCl/naloxone HCl dihydrate) in your blood. Only specialized drug tests test for buprenorphine and even more specialized ones for naloxone.

You really should wait the 18 hours maybe an hour or two less If you can’t take it anymore. It’s really hard but REALLY worth it. I went into detox and on that 18th hour I was kicking my legs and jolting all over and just wanted to sleep and finally got a sub and within a half hour probably I fell asleep and I woke up feeling pretty well.

Twenty minutes later you start sweating really bad and become delirious, you feel even sicker than before, it's like you go into instant withdrawals. Ive done it and I regret it! I would have put a bullet in my head if I had a gun, and i am in no way suicidal!

the answer is that it does not show up in a urine test. I was in jail, and sent to the work release program. I did an 8mg tablet of suboxone, and got a urine test the next day, and the results came back negative. Most urine tests dont check for buprenorphine, which is one of the drugs that make up suboxone!

YES IT DOES SHOW UP. If you have a 12 panel drug screen it shows up . I Failed my drug screen after 3 days of no use. So i KNOW it stays in your system .. It Dont show up on a 3 or 5 panel drug screen.. Alot of places dont use 12 panel because it cost alot.

I agree with the last entry.. I specifically get tested for it on an 11 panel. So again, my ? ... How long before its out of your system if you dont use it often

Suboxone reaches a "ceiling effect" at 32mg's, which means you cant take more than four 8mg pills. essentially, you can take more than 4 pills, though the extra pills are wasted.

Suboxone's very unlike methodone, it's a partion opiod agonist/antagonist meaning it's effects are not as significant as a full opiod agonist, though to the opiate nieve, it is a very powerful drug and if you're taking 32mg's a day, than you must have an extremely high tolerance.....

The above answer was lacking in some details. Yes, you can safely take the two together. The important thing is not to take too high a dose of the klonopin. I take 12mg of suboxone and anywhere from 1 - 2mg of klonopin. I would not take a much higher dose of the klonopin as there is a chance for respiratory depression. My doctor is a 25 year veteran and has been involved with suboxone treatment for the last 5 years, so I trust his opinion.

Yes, almost. Buprenorphine is sold in two forms: Suboxone and Subutex. The difference between them is that Suboxone has naloxone added to it. Naloxone is a partial opiate antagonist, meaning that it blocks the opiate receptors in your brain, so you cannot get high from either taking too much Suboxone, or from taking other opiates on top of the Suboxone. Subutex does not have the naloxone in it, so it is possible to take a lot of it and get high on it (it's going to be a crappy high, though...you're really better off taking hydrocodone or oxycodone, if you wanna get an opiate high), or to take other opiates like heroin or oxycodone on top of the Subutex, and get high from them.

When I first started taking Suboxone (the first few days) I threw up a lot! I called my doctor and he said to not worry about it as this is very common in the first few days of taking Sub. Since it's dissolved under your tongue, once this is done, you can't "throw up" the meds, as they're already in your bloodstream. My doctor suggested laying down a bit, drinking a little 7-Up or Sprite and eating a few crackers to alleviate the nausea. This will pass as your body adjusts to the Sub. It took about three days for me though.

Yes it is an opiate of sorts. Suboxone is a semisynthetic opioid analgesic. It is synthetic , which is why it does not show up on regular drug test, which can only test for pure opiates such heroin and all the others.

it all dpends how much Tylenol u took. your weight . if u took 500 mg of Tylenol then a lrotab 5-10/500 would be ok i wouldn't take more than 1500 mg of Tylenol at ounce though

You need to wait until you start to actually feel the withdrawal, otherwise it can possibly make you sick. So if you last took an opiate yesterday and your're starting to feel the "I wish I would just die" feeling, then it's time to take the sub.

No. it is unsafe to take any Benzodiazapine with Suboxone! It even says so on the Suboxone website. Not only is it dangerous but it has caused deaths in some patients. I also checked this out by calling the medical department at Suboxone and I was told that I was correct that this was the indication.

You would counter-act the effects of the other drugs being taken such as morphine, codeine and other opiates such as heroin. Suboxone is an opiate blocker so, it may lead to withdrawl symptoms or a fealing of "less high" than normally expected. This drug is used as a treatment for opiate addiction producing less of a euphoric feeling.
