Can you mix suboxone with antivert and or meclizine?
I wouldn't suggest it there could be some complications epically if you are new to suboxone but if you must, try not to mix them too close together and stay hydrated!
For what? It does work for both killing pain (for non-opiate addicts) and getting over an addiction to painkillers. I know several people who have successfully completed suboxone treatment and are very glad they chose it, although it is still hard for them.
If you took 2mg of suboxone for 3 days will you get high on the fourth day?
don't let the suboxone fool you it really doesnt do much, once you stop takin it you will feel all the pain. it really sucks i look AT IT like giving back all the good times that landed me in this situation. its been 3 weeks since I've slept thru the nite.
Can you get sun while taking suboxone?
Yes you can smoke marijuana while on suboxone or subutex. I have been on suboxone and subutex for 3 years and I dont think I have missed more then 5 days of smoking weed. For me weed will actually take away any withdrawal effects that are creeping up from the subutex.
Do you take suboxone every 12 hours?
Yes you can. Taking suboxone first and then using can cause you to have withdrawals. But 12 hours should be enough to take subutex/suboxone
How long after taking oxycodone can you take suboxone?
how many mg's of suboxone and for how long were you taking it? and how many mg's of oxycodone are you taking? 4mg of suboxone hangs around for about 24 hrs until the bup starts leaving the receptors and then you will be able to experience a mild high, 32 hrs and you are able to get a buzz and by 40-48 hrs you are completely able to get the full effect of your oxycodone. start with a medium dose at 24 hrs to get the bup to loosen up off the receptors and use your intended dose at 32 hrs. once your first 2 doses wear off your third dose should be enough to kick the rest of the bup off the receptors and let you enjoy your oxycodone. just remember because you don't feel high dosent mean you cant overdose so be careful on that first dose especially and don't go chasing a peak high on your second dose either. if you were on 8mgs of sub, then multiply those time frames by 2, 2mg and divide by half, you get it
Can you drink alcohol while taking suboxone?
Don't do it! I am on Suboxone and trust me, you will become violently ill. If you have to then try NO MORE than 1-2 drinks. But I got sick when I had 2 beers.
D's Answer: My husband and I have been on suboxone for 3 years. I can drink on it, there are some weekends where I drink a 5th of Yeager. I have never (not one time) got sick from drinking on suboxone. My husband on the other hand has. There is times where he can't drink at all, but then sometimes he can. I think (personally) it depends on the person.
What is withdrawl from suboxone like?
The same as any opiate which would include flu-like symptoms, diarrhea, yawning, watery eyes, runny nose, body aches, tired feeling, stiff muscles, sweating, chills, irritability, vomiting, restlessness, depression, etc.

In a 10 panal urine drug test will suboxone show up?
NO! Various bloggers online claim that it is an opiate and therefore will show up on the 5 panel (which tests for opiates) test. This is incorrect as suboxone is an opiate agonist and therefore will not appear even on the 10 panel. The only way to be tested for suboxone is a pharma-specific buprenophrine test that would cost hundreds of dollars! This test is, for the most part, done primarily by physicians who are trying to help their opioid dependent patients (via 12 panel test). - you can verify all of this by calling THE suboxone pharmacy.
How long will it take for suboxone to start working?
there is no cut and dry answer here. It just depends on your personal circumstances. If you have been an addict for years than you don't want to be thinking about getting off of it very fast. I took suboxone for three years, long enough for me to get my life back in order from the destruction of years of drug abuse. So once I had my life back on track and everything was some what back in order I slowly quit under my doctor's supervision. Seek professional help when trying to figure out this question because so many factors play into this very big decision.
How long do i have to wait to take an opana if i took suboxone?
Opana (oxymorphone) is the only painkiller that I have found that will work with suboxone. Although, the high does not seem as intense as if I was not taking suboxone. I am not sure why this is. I heard from one of my close friends that you could take opana with suboxone. So I gave it a try. It works, a few other people I know have had similar experiences. I cannot say what the effects would be if someone were to take the drugs together frequently. So, snort the opana now, you will not regret it. I have been taking suboxone, prescribed by a docter for 8 months. I did the opana 3 separate occasions with the suboxone.
How long should you wait to take Suboxone after taking hydrocodone?
Ok, I do these things too...I take 20 mg. of Suboxone daily....I have found, that you can still use opiates (pain killers) and even herion even just 10 hours later.....and still get some mild effects..if you wait longer of course, the higher you'll feel and you would want to take alot more Vicodin than usual to get the same hydrocodone effects you would've been used toif you want the MAX euphoric feeling....wait long enough to srt feeling sick from lack of suboxone and then take them...then youll get the response your looking for
Are there any side effects to suboxone?
Unfortunately yes. As with any medication they can be minor to life threatening, but usually pretty minor. I would say if you are on a maintenence program your number 1 side effect is going to be constipation!! You will most likely become constipated so you should adjust your diet accordingly to keep those bowels a movin! The other side effects are pretty much the same as with any other opiate but the dangers of respitory depression is less likely with suboxone, although I have noticed that it will make me a bit nauseous sometimes. Have a good day!!
Will methadone help with suboxone withdrawals?
Yes. Suboxone is for the treatment of mild to moderate opiate addiction, like Vicodin addictions. Suboxone is itself an opiate; it replaces the other opiate, but it doesn't get you high, so you can quit getting high without the painful physical withdrawal. It also has an ingredient called naloxone in it. Naloxone is a partial opiate antagonist, meaning that it blocks the opiate receptors in your brain, so you cannot get high on opiates while you are taking the Suboxone.
In order to begin treatment with Suboxone, you must wait at least 18 to 24 hours since your last dose of Vicodin. It is absolutely essential that you be in full-blown, severe withdrawal from the Vicodin, before you start taking the Suboxone. If you take the Suboxone before you are in full withdrawal from the Vicodin, it will produce the worst, most horrible withdrawal symptoms you can imagine. You will get really, really sick.
Once you are in severe withdrawal, you can begin taking the Suboxone. Start with a small dose (say, half a pill, 4mgs), and wait 30 to 45 minutes to see how you feel. If you still feel sick, try taking another half a pill, and wait another 30 to 45 minutes. Continue taking small doses, every 30 to 45 minutes, until you feel well again. Remember that Suboxone must be dissolved under the tongue; it won't dissolve in your stomach, so do not swallow it.
You will have to continue taking the same dose of Suboxone every day, or else you will start having withdrawal symptoms. Once you feel you are ready to stop taking the Suboxone, you can start decreasing your dosage little by little, over a period of several months, until you are able to stop taking it completely. The slower you decrease your dosage, the less painful getting off of it will be.
You would be much better off having a doctor supervising your Suboxone treatment. I have included a link to one treatment program, The Columbia University Buprenorphine Program in Manhattan (buprenorphine is the main ingredient in Suboxone, besides naloxone). If you don't live in the New York area, the Program can probably help you find treatment options where you live.
What is a normal dose of Suboxone?
The correct dosage of Suboxone is not the same for everyone; the dose is discovered as the result of a process which takes three days. It is performed under the supervision of the prescribing doctor and the authorized professional who administers the medication.
It will depend on several factors, one of which is determined by the amount of pain medication or opioid usage of the patient. In other words, the dose can and does vary greatly from each individual.
In my experience, I was asked to come into the office after not having any pain medication/narcotics for 12-18 hours; it had to be evident that I was indeed in the first stages of opioid withdrawal. When I arrived, I was achy all over, had chills, no energy, bad attitude and I felt like I might if I were coming down with a bad case of flu.
I was administered Subutex (which is the brand name for buprenorphine, sometimes called "bupe"-the 'u' is pronounced like "you"); a 2mg. tablet sublingually (dissolved slowly under the tongue).
It is a narcotic, but only a partial agonist (Heroin, Oxycontin, and most other opioid/narcotic pain meds. are agonists).
I waited 30 minutes and since I felt no relief from the withdrawal symptoms, I was administered another 2 mg. tab (same as above-sublingually). This process goes on until you feel better. This does not mean you "catch a buzz," but you feel better, more normal, like yourself but without the need for pain meds. You can go about your day as you would normally. You come in the next day and the same process is done until you feel better. I repeat-no buzz, but definite relief from withdrawal symptoms, which lasts 24 hours or more (or close).
Third day, repeat. At this point, some people choose to end their "detox." It is said that after the third day, one needs no more medication, if one is very determined NOT to take any narcotic medication. (They explained that it takes three days for the receptors in your brain (which crave the narcotic-hence-withdrawal symptoms), to be replaced by the new drug, buprenorphine).
It may take a few days to a couple of weeks to feel like yourself, but again, it depends on the individual.
The answer to your question is here: The number of milligrams of Subutex that was necessary to relieve your symptoms is then transferred to Suboxone; (which is buprenorphine mixed with Naloxone-in one tablet) this is called your maintenance dose.
At this stage, one may slowly decrease the dose of Suboxone and eventually cease from taking it at all. One is MUCH more comfortable and virtually no withdrawal symptoms!
[I chose to continue maintenance. For those of us who stopped taking any narcotics for a length of time (for example, months or more) but still crave pain meds, Suboxone is the answer to your prayer. I believe it is a gift to us from God.
Not only does it relieve any withdrawal, but over a short period of time, your cravings will be gone and you do, to some degree, benefit from slight pain relief without the temptation to take anything more (too much just gives you a headache with no pain relief). Over time, I have taken from 2 mg. a day to 8 mg. a day and I feel better with 4 mg. in the morning with 2mg. in in the evening, but have forgotten to take the 2 mg. dose frequently.
I know of some who take much, much more and some who take considerable less with the same end results for each person.]
Can you take Strattera and suboxone together?
I wouldn't suggest it. But the fact that you're asking leads me to believe that you have been using Adderall in combination with an Opiate. If that combination works for you, then Suboxone would not be much different. Both drugs, however, increase your blood pressure significantly and can cause serious long-term problems. Then again you know that if you have a reason to take Suboxone. Be careful and avoid taking them together if possible. And try to eat healthy if you don't want permanent Hypertension!
This is a very dangerous and addictive combination, do not try this under any circumstances! The effects on your heart could be fatal.
I somewhat agree and disagree, I have been prescribed both by not only my doctor in Maine but since I moved to Georgia my doctor down here kept me on the same. but at the same time it is true if you have an addiction problem which is more than likely why your on the suboxone. Than you do need to be careful if the adderrall is not prescribed and being watched by a doctor. Alot of drug abuse doctors do try to find an underlying cause for the addicts abuse like add,adhd,depression.... Remember that everyone is going to give you a million different answers and please be careful.
I have personally used suboxone and I currently am prescribed adderall. First off you should be aware that adderall is an upper, like speed or meth, but not to the severe degree. Second, Suboxone is mainly prescribed for opiate withdrawl... so you are looking at a downer. Taking them together will actually negate any "high" you are trying to attain, since suboxone will bind to opiate receptors in the brain causeing you to lose your high. NEVER take Suboxone unless you are trying to quit using drugs. It is very effective as an alternative to Methadone in treating heroin addiction, or opiate addiction. I hope that helped.
Yes, you can take adderall and suboxone together. I am presribed both and have had no adverse reactions. P.S. My prescriptions are legal, so if you are mixing Subs. and Adderall you would be better off asking a pharmacist
How soon can you switch from methadone to suboxone?
Yes, but ONLY after u have tapered to a 30mg methadone dose, THEN detox for 24 hours, and when u are in clear signs of withdrawal, then u can take a very low suboxone dose (1/2 a pill or so). if u do not do this, you will go through extreme withdrawal, which is 10 times worse than regular withdrawal. take my word for this, it is not something you want to mess around with
What is the best way to get off of the suboxone?
I lowered my dose gradually. I started at 2 8mg tablets daily. Went down to 1 a day.Cracking it in half and taking half in the morning and the other half at night. Then I went down to cracking the half in half after about 3 days of cracking the 1 in half. I also took 10mg Valium coming down from the bigger dose. One a day for the Valium. After taking half of the half for 3 days, I took a quarter of a half, in the morning then at night for a couple days then I didn't take any and I was fine. I did continue the Valium for a couple weeks but I went down to 5mg of Valium instead of 10. I am currently still on the Valium Because I get panic attacks real bad so that is all I take now. I had the panic attacks before I started taking suboxone so that was not an affect from not having the suboxone. Good Luck!!!
Can you take doxycycline with suboxone?
Yes, there is no problem in taking those drugs together. No antibiotic has an opiate effect, you won't block any effect with suboxone.
Will injecting suboxone film get you high?
Yes, but only the first time you take it. If you take the medication daily, you will not get high.
Does suboxone give you withdrawal when stop taking?
most doctors dealing with subutex or suboxone deal with what they refer to as the taper systerm. all this meaning that if you stop a high dose cold turkey you will feel withdrawls, but not as bad as if you were taking an opiate. the best way to aviod sub w/d is to taper down to lower and lower doses before comming off. best advice if you decide to stop cold turkey is to use some sort of anti anxiety med.
Can you take suboxone after taking Oxycontin?
Not unless you feel like going into intense precipitated withdrawals and wanting to claw your eyes out. Trust me, don't do it. In fact, you need to wait at the bare minimum 12-15 hours after your last dose of heroin until you can take suboxone. You should really wait 24 hours though. You need to be in withdrawal from the heroin before the suboxone will work without making it ten times worse.
