Ok, I do these things too...I take 20 mg. of Suboxone daily....I have found, that you can still use opiates (pain killers) and even herion even just 10 hours later.....and still get some mild effects..if you wait longer of course, the higher you'll feel and you would want to take alot more Vicodin than usual to get the same hydrocodone effects you would've been used toif you want the MAX euphoric feeling....wait long enough to srt feeling sick from lack of suboxone and then take them...then youll get the response your looking for

Unfortunately yes. As with any medication they can be minor to life threatening, but usually pretty minor. I would say if you are on a maintenence program your number 1 side effect is going to be constipation!! You will most likely become constipated so you should adjust your diet accordingly to keep those bowels a movin! The other side effects are pretty much the same as with any other opiate but the dangers of respitory depression is less likely with suboxone, although I have noticed that it will make me a bit nauseous sometimes. Yes. Suboxone is for the treatment of mild to moderate opiate addiction, like Vicodin addictions. Suboxone is itself an opiate; it replaces the other opiate, but it doesn't get you high, so you can quit getting high without the painful physical withdrawal. It also has an ingredient called naloxone in it. Naloxone is a partial opiate antagonist, meaning that it blocks the opiate receptors in your brain, so you cannot get high on opiates while you are taking the Suboxone.

In order to begin treatment with Suboxone, you must wait at least 18 to 24 hours since your last dose of Vicodin. It is absolutely essential that you be in full-blown, severe withdrawal from the Vicodin, before you start taking the Suboxone. If you take the Suboxone before you are in full withdrawal from the Vicodin, it will produce the worst, most horrible withdrawal symptoms you can imagine. You will get really, really sick.

Once you are in severe withdrawal, you can begin taking the Suboxone. Start with a small dose (say, half a pill, 4mgs), and wait 30 to 45 minutes to see how you feel. If you still feel sick, try taking another half a pill, and wait another 30 to 45 minutes. Continue taking small doses, every 30 to 45 minutes, until you feel well again. Remember that Suboxone must be dissolved under the tongue; it won't dissolve in your stomach, so do not swallow it.

You will have to continue taking the same dose of Suboxone every day, or else you will start having withdrawal symptoms. Once you feel you are ready to stop taking the Suboxone, you can start decreasing your dosage little by little, over a period of several months, until you are able to stop taking it completely. The slower you decrease your dosage, the less painful getting off of it will be.

You would be much better off having a doctor supervising your Suboxone treatment. I have included a link to one treatment program, The Columbia University Buprenorphine Program in Manhattan (buprenorphine is the main ingredient in Suboxone, besides naloxone). If you don't live in the New York area, the Program can probably help you find treatment options where you live.

I wouldn't suggest it. But the fact that you're asking leads me to believe that you have been using Adderall in combination with an Opiate. If that combination works for you, then Suboxone would not be much different. Both drugs, however, increase your blood pressure significantly and can cause serious long-term problems. Then again you know that if you have a reason to take Suboxone. Be careful and avoid taking them together if possible. And try to eat healthy if you don't want permanent Hypertension!

This is a very dangerous and addictive combination, do not try this under any circumstances! The effects on your heart could be fatal.

I somewhat agree and disagree, I have been prescribed both by not only my doctor in Maine but since I moved to Georgia my doctor down here kept me on the same. but at the same time it is true if you have an addiction problem which is more than likely why your on the suboxone. Than you do need to be careful if the adderrall is not prescribed and being watched by a doctor. Alot of drug abuse doctors do try to find an underlying cause for the addicts abuse like add,adhd,depression.... Remember that everyone is going to give you a million different answers and please be careful.

I have personally used suboxone and I currently am prescribed adderall. First off you should be aware that adderall is an upper, like speed or meth, but not to the severe degree. Second, Suboxone is mainly prescribed for opiate withdrawl... so you are looking at a downer. Taking them together will actually negate any "high" you are trying to attain, since suboxone will bind to opiate receptors in the brain causeing you to lose your high. NEVER take Suboxone unless you are trying to quit using drugs. It is very effective as an alternative to Methadone in treating heroin addiction, or opiate addiction. I hope that helped.

Yes, you can take adderall and suboxone together. I am presribed both and have had no adverse reactions. P.S. My prescriptions are legal, so if you are mixing Subs. and Adderall you would be better off asking a pharmacist

Yes, but ONLY after u have tapered to a 30mg methadone dose, THEN detox for 24 hours, and when u are in clear signs of withdrawal, then u can take a very low suboxone dose (1/2 a pill or so). if u do not do this, you will go through extreme withdrawal, which is 10 times worse than regular withdrawal. take my word for this, it is not something you want to mess around with

I lowered my dose gradually. I started at 2 8mg tablets daily. Went down to 1 a day.Cracking it in half and taking half in the morning and the other half at night. Then I went down to cracking the half in half after about 3 days of cracking the 1 in half. I also took 10mg Valium coming down from the bigger dose. One a day for the Valium. After taking half of the half for 3 days, I took a quarter of a half, in the morning then at night for a couple days then I didn't take any and I was fine. I did continue the Valium for a couple weeks but I went down to 5mg of Valium instead of 10. I am currently still on the Valium Because I get panic attacks real bad so that is all I take now. I had the panic attacks before I started taking suboxone so that was not an affect from not having the suboxone. Good Luck!!!

Yes, there is no problem in taking those drugs together. No antibiotic has an opiate effect, you won't block any effect with suboxone.

Yes, but only the first time you take it. If you take the medication daily, you will not get high.

most doctors dealing with subutex or suboxone deal with what they refer to as the taper systerm. all this meaning that if you stop a high dose cold turkey you will feel withdrawls, but not as bad as if you were taking an opiate. the best way to aviod sub w/d is to taper down to lower and lower doses before comming off. best advice if you decide to stop cold turkey is to use some sort of anti anxiety med.

Not unless you feel like going into intense precipitated withdrawals and wanting to claw your eyes out. Trust me, don't do it. In fact, you need to wait at the bare minimum 12-15 hours after your last dose of heroin until you can take suboxone. You should really wait 24 hours though. You need to be in withdrawal from the heroin before the suboxone will work without making it ten times worse.

Methadone Hydrochloride is used as a herion replacement in the treatment herion addicts to help get them off heroin.

There's no direct answer for that. Depends on your body, your typical use of opiates before suboxone, metabolism, etc... If you're thinking of doing something and don't wanna get sick, at very least 8 hours, 12 to be comfortable in your decision, 24 hours you're in the clear.

I don't know how snorting suboxone is working for this person, because if so, it's the first I've ever heard of such a thing. Suboxone is specifically designed NOT to work any other way besides dissolving under your tongue -- even swallowing it won't work. So basically, it would just waste your suboxone. But what I don't get is why you would even want to try -- if you're taking suboxone to begin with, aren't you trying to fight a drug problem (that probably involves snorting, etc.)? Or do you just like to put things in your nose? If its the latter, let me reccommend crushing Smarties candies and doing that instead. It seems just about as intelligent.

Yes. Suboxone contains buprenorphine (and naloxone), and is in the opioid class of medication/drugs. It will test positive for opiates on a simple urine drug screen test. The person above me is an idiot, buprenorphine doesnt show up in any standard urine drug screen, it must be specifically tested for. As far as the military testing for buprenorphine, im currently in the process of finding that out for myself, so far the general concensus is no, but dont take my word for it.

It really isn't designed for that, the getting high part or the snorting part.

If you're looking to take a break from your program, ( don't give up on it all together )

stop taking the suboxone for 2 or 3 days, it'll clear your system and stop blocking the receptors. Then, if you must, and I'm not judging you, take what you normally took when you first started using whatever you use, it'll work again. Please consider just buying enough for a one day break, get it out of your mind, relax, whatever you're trying to accomplish, then wait until you feel the sickness coming on and resume your

Suboxone regime. Try not to take a break more than once every 3 or 4 months and limit it to one day. You're going to be an addict the rest of your life, I know I will, and if this allows you to control it, I'm not saying it's the right thing to do, but it's a hell of a lot better than giving up and giving in completely. I'm no doctor, I'm nobody really, so this is just my opinion.. take it for what it's worth.

I have taken 30mg of oxycodone once two or three days before my drug screen. Will the test be positive, as my boyfriend has a prescription. I have prescriptions for xanax and ritalin, but not for the oxycodone.

Taken internally the herb can affect how iron and other minerals are absorbed into the body. If one is iron deficient they may want to supplement their diest with iron while taking the herb. And more . . .

May possibly interfere with drug or herb absorption so best to take the bark several hours before or after other medicants. No reported negative interactions with pharmaceuticals as of 2002.

It has been my experience that Suboxone will not show up in a strret drug test.

It is from the opiate family but it has to be searched for on its own. a standard 5 panel drug test will not show up, you have to test for what your body breaks it down to which is a very expensive test. It will not show up on a standard test no. I have methadone as a truck driver with random testing and I go once a week for drug test and methadone does not show.

The drug Suboxone (used to treat opioid addicction) in itself is a dangerous drug that can cause dependency or even death. It is available by prescription only and would be illegal to possess or purchase without a valid prescription.

That entirely depends on the drug being tested for. Some drugs are metabolized very quickly and after a day or two are completely untraceable using normal tests. Some stay in your system longer. What drug are you interested in, would make the answer easier. Not doing drugs at all would also make this question irrelevant :)
