From my experience with chanel the designer label, I know for a fact that they are also made in France. Im not sure that they are made in Italy as you must know that Coco Chanels label is parisian, thus the brand chanel is FRENCH not Italian. I would be a little hesitate at buying sunglasses that say made in Italy unless you are positive or can ascertain authentication papers that go with the sunglasses!!

Chanel make some of their products in Italy. I have bought a pair of Chanel eye glasses frame from a registed optical store and the glasses clearly state made in Italy. They also have the serial number etched into the inside of them. Additionally I bought my first Chanel handbag in Paris at the Rue Cambon store and it indicates the bag was made in Italy. They produce some of the lambskin range in France. The company that manufactures Chanel glasses and also many other designer lables is called Luxottica based in Milan, Italy, hence why the glasses are made in Italy.
