Since then, wingsuit skydiving has taken over the record setting. The discipline still involves freefall so is applicable, however it changes frequently. Adrian Nicholas set the first of these wingsuit records in March 1999 with a freefall time of 4 minutes 55 seconds. Currently, a trio of Spanish skydivers (Santi, Toni and Alvaro) hold the record at 6 minutes 47 seconds, but this will undoubtedly increase as time goes on.
Making a wingsuit record like this requires quite a few things:
- An experienced skydiver with thousands of jumps.
- Positive-pressure facemask oxygen systems and the training to go with it (practice jumps and barometric pressure chamber tests).
- An aircraft capable of taking the skydiver in an unpressurised aircraft to an altitude of at least 30,000ft. This is expensive.

There are many reasons, here are some of them:
Formula 1 cars generate up to 3.5g of force, which requires significant strength to be able to balance and focus through.
It can get very hot during a race, especially when in hotter climates. Drivers can lose up to 3kg of sweat during a single race
It takes strong neck and shoulder muscles to keep your head from whipping around as you go through corners, and powerful arm muscles are needed to keep your arms from getting weary after holding them on the wheel all race.
It also takes VERY strong leg muscles, as the cars are "brake by wire" and do not have traditional power-brakes as a modern road car does.

It's kind of a grey area, I actually own a Electric Bike store on Long Island called Long Isalond Electric Bikes and I have yet to have a customer have legal trouble. There was a law developed in the 1980's making motorized bikes illegal, but that was before electrice bikes existed. The federal Law has since made a law declaring electric bikes with a top speed of 20 or under legal for use on public roads, but NY has not developed any new legislation.

This varies wildly. For an Elite league team, there are 7 "places" for riders. Usually all 7 will attend a meeting, but in the event of an injury, Rider Replacement strategies (where one of the other 6 riders covers his heats) is in place, or another rider may "guest" in his spot.
For other competitions this can change. Such as World Cup, there are 5 riders, Team Pairs there are 2 riders per team.

Crashing isn't always dangerous actually believe it or not you learn from your crashes making you better. Yeah getting ran over can be dangerous, But the biggest dangers are getting landed on and coming up short on a triple or double(caseing it), and casing a jump can lead to broken bones.
