The Bee Gees

The Bee Gees were formed in 1958 by three brothers Maurice, Barry and Robin Gibbs. Their genres are rock, pop, soft rock, disco and some soul. They have been active except for a six year hiatus. As singers-songwriters, the brothers wrote all their own hits, as well as writing and producing other hits for different artists. They have sold over 220 million records. Only five other artist/groups have sold more, and their awards are as impressive as the groups popularity. All questions about this group can be found here.

Is your mother still with you if she is deceased and you have her ashes?

Answer

That depends on your personal beliefs. Personally, I think the connection we have with the people we love is a bond that cannot be broken. Heaven is not a physical place, it isn't in the sky way above you, your mother isn't far away. If you keep her memory and love with you every day, then she is with you. Her ashes are a nice way to remember her, but they aren't necessary to keep her with you. Is a demond the combination of an almond and a demon? Can you eat it?AnswerI'm sorry for you and your mother but no. She can not be with you. All you have is her ashes, that's it. If your accepted Jesus Christ in her heart and followed Him through the last of her days, she went to heaven (and trust me, she is in a better place). If your mother never accepted Jesus Christ in her heart, she is in hell. (You don't go to hell because you are a bad person, but because you have sinned and have not repent.) Do not believe anyone who says that they can help you talk to your mother by bringing her spirit back, because they are a bunch of blind fools! They don't know that those so called spirits are just demonds. Don't be fooled! AnswerI too, am very sorry for you, but the answer is no. Our mom's are in heaven with God and what we have left is the physical remnants of her existence. But more importantly the memories we all hold, keep and share are very real because they really happened and are more than just thoughts and images in our minds.

Did the Bee Gees perform at the Royal Easter Show approx 1958 -you are sure your sisters and you saw them?

Yes I saw them at the Easter Show , If it was 1958 I was 11 but I thought I was about 14 when I saw them which would make it 1961 . Maybe I was only 11. It was up sideshow alley I think and I remember standing watching Jimmy Sharman's boxing troupe before going inot a tent where my mates and I watched these three gawky looking kids sing several songs. When we walked put I remember thiking " those guys were pretty good" .

Then some years later when the Bee Gee's hit the scene I remember those three gawky looking kids singing in a tent at the Easter Show.

How did the bee gees get their name?

It comes from the old English word beo, of Germanic origin. It's related to the Dutch 'bij' and German 'Beie'.

That answer couldn't be more wrong.

The Bee Gees got their name for the two letters B & G which is what everyone called Barry Gibb (BG) However...not wanting to make it sound like he was the most important of the trio...they made it known that BG stood for "Brothers Gibb" They added the "ee" to the B and the G so it would look like a band name...rather than just the letters BG.
