Was Joseph Smith on psychedelic drugs when he created Mormonism?
No. Such a thing has never been suspected or proven by serious historians, even those who believe his claims were false. Psychedlic drugs were not available or in use by people in upstate New York in the early 1800's. Those who do not believe in Joseph Smith's stories can claim that he was crazy or lying, but drug use is not a remotely probable explanation.
Is the Book of Mormon for kids?
Depends on how old. If they are good with the Bible, they'll be good with the Book of Mormon. There are Book of Mormon storybooks made for kids, if they are too young to read the regular book.
How many times is the word light used in the book of Mormon?
The word light is found in the Doctrine and Covenants 75 times. It is also found in the Old Testament 180 times and the New Testament 81 times, The Book of Mormon 84 times and the Pearl of Great Price 34 times.
Does the Bible reference the Book of Mormon?
Two differing opinions presented below
Opinion 1:
No! the reference to Ezekiel 37:15-17 below is misinterpreted. The Hebrew word used by Ezekiel is ets, which means "wood, tree, stick"; translated in this passage asstick, ets is also used in Numbers 15:32; 1 Kings 17:10; 2 Kings 6:6, and Lamentations 4:8, to name a few places. Had God meant "scroll" or "book" here in Ezekiel He would have used the word cepher, which appears in Joshua 1:8; Isaiah 30:8; Jeremiah 36:2; Daniel 12:1, and Malachi 3:16 to cite a few examples. The logical conclusion is that Ezekiel 37:15-17 is to be understood literally. The Lord told Ezekiel to take one stick and carve on it, "For Judah", etc. Then to take another stick and carve into it, "For Joseph", etc. This was all Ezeliel was to write on these sticks and then join them together; it's not at all referring in any way to The Book of Mormon. The union of the two rods (sticks) was a prophecy in action of the brotherly union which is to reunite the ten tribes (Israel) and Judah.
Opinion 2:
Yes, to answer shortly, keep reading. The Bible does not say directly "from the Book of Mormon" or anything like that. After the death of Christ the church was persecuted and the apostles were killed. The church that Christ established did not last more than a hundred years or so. This was prophesied about many times, one reference is 2 Thessalonians 2:3.
The period of time that the Church of Jesus Christ was not on the earth is called the apostasy. During this time many evil men took the writings of the apostles and prophets and changed them to fit their beliefs. They started their own churches and taught whatever they wanted. They changed the Bible and took out many things. For this reason the Bible does not speak very clearly about the Book of Mormon.
See Ezekiel 37:15-17 It says
15 ¶ The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, 16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
The "stick" it talks about is a book. The stick of Judah refers to the book of the Jews, or the Bible. Much of the bible was written by descendants of Judah, one of the 12 sons of Israel.
We know from the book of Book of Mormon that Lehi was a descendant of Joseph (1 Nephi 5:14). The sons of Lehi married the Daughters of Ishmael. Ishmael was from the tribe of Ephraim, Ephraim being a son of Joseph. The Book of Mormon was passed down through the generations starting with Nephi, son of Lehi, with each generation adding more to the record. We can safely say that the Book of Mormon comes from the descendants of Ephraim, making the Book of Mormon "the stick of Ephraim".
Ezekiel prophesied in this scripture that one day these two books would come together as one. Today in the LDS church we use both The Bible and the Book of Mormon to further our knowledge of Christ.
Other references to the Book of Mormon in the Bible include.
Isaiah 29:4 (4-11)
Malachi 3:1-3 (references Joseph Smith, the translator of the Book of Mormon)
John 10:16 (also see 3 Nephi 15:17) Jesus tells his apostles he has to leave them to go visit other people that are not from a place they know of.
==========
The debate seems to be about whether the metaphor of the stick refers to joining two groups of people or joining two books of scripture. Either way you are looking at a metaphor or a symbolic prophecy, not a literal inscribed stick.
That is up for you to decide. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the 'Mormon' church) believe that the Book of Mormon is scripture, that it testifies of Jesus Christ, and that it should be used side-by-side with the Bible. Many who are not Mormon, however, believe that the Book of Mormon is a total fraud and that it is an abomination.
Mormons ask that anyone interested should read the Book of Mormon, sincerely pray to God asking if it is true, and make their own decision about whether it is a true scriptural account, or whether it is false. They believe that this personal witness is essential, and that each person should know for themselves.

Where did Moroni bury the book of Mormon?
We can't know for sure, because he never tells us. Mormon, Moroni's father, says in Mormon 6:6 that he buried most of the plates in the hill Cumorah then gave the rest of the plates to Moroni. Moroni could have gone back to get them and then buried them in another spot, or he could have compiled them all at the same spot. We also can't know if the Book of Mormon hill Cumorah is the same as the hill in upstate New York where Joseph Smith discovered the plates, or if the plates were moved there at some point during the 1400 years between when they were buried and when Joseph Smith recieved them. It is all a matter of speculation and personal opinion.
Since the location of where the plates were buried has absolutely no bearing on salvation, truth, or doctrine of any kind, the Church will likely never seek to define an exact location. It is extremely unlikely that someone might recieve revelation as to where the plates were buried as well, as revelation typically only has to do with matters of salvation.
What book in the book of Mormons contain prophecy of the birth of Christ?
Here are a few:
"And he said unto me: Behold, the virgin whom thou seest is the mother of the Son of God, after the manner of the flesh" (1st Nephi 11:18).

"For according to the words of the prophets, the Messiah cometh in six hundred years from the time that my father left Jerusalem; and according to the words of the prophets, and also the word of the angel of God, his name shall be Jesus Christ, the Son of God" (2nd Nephi 25:19).
"And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God" (Alma 7:10)
"And behold, he said unto them: Behold, I give unto you a sign; for five years more cometh, and behold, then cometh the Son of God to redeem all those who shall believe on his name" (Helaman 14:2).

Who ripped up the book of mormon in saltlake city?
People rip up the Book of Mormon all the time, but there have been no recent news reports of it happening in Salt Lake City. Usually it isn't a newsworthy occurrence.
I posted a link to one of the Church's companies, Deseret Book, that runs an auction site as well. There are many LDS related items placed there. I've seen people place questions on there about possible values for specific items. I'd give that a try and see.
if you mean the one from the Book of Mormon, he probably didn't. There is zero credible scientific evidence for the presence of a civilization like the one described in the Book of Mormon in the pre-Columbian Americas.
That said, those who believe the Book of Mormon to be a true account think that Nephi was probably a very young man (in his mid-teens) around 600 BC.

A mormon is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We believe the Jesus Christ will come again and restore the earth to it's paradisical glory. We use the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon and The Pearl of Great Price and The Doctrine and Convenants. The Book of Mormon tells of an ancient civilization and their trials and triblutions. The Church was founded in the early 1800's. Many churches have since broken off. 1 believing that the descendants of Joseph Smith should be the prophet ( leader ). One that believes woman should have the priesthood. One that believes in Polygamy.
It would take forever to tell you everything. That is a brief summary
Is there any mention of a planet where you go when you die in book of mormons?
No. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the 'Mormon' church) do not believe you go to any specific planet when you die, nor are there other planets (aside from the sun, moon, and stars) mentioned in the Book of Mormon.
Mormons believe that when someone dies, their spirit will go to the "Spirit World". This is just a title, and it is not assigned any specific location or planet. Here, the good and the wicked are separated into "Paradise" and "Prison", and are still able to make choices that will affect their salvation- including accept Jesus Christ. Following the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, those in Paradise and Prison will be resurrected (their spirits will reunite with their bodies) and they will recieve a final judgement by Jesus Christ. Based on their acceptace of Jesus as their Savior and their commitment to following His teachings, they will be assigned to live in one of three Kingdoms of Heaven, or be damned to live in Hell with Satan for eternity.

No. Mitt Romney will take the oath of office on the Bible. Mitt Romney believes that both the Bible and the Book of Mormon are scripture, and that both are of equal importance. He has no problem taking the oath of office on the Bible and would feel the same about swearing on the Bible as he would on the Book of Mormon.
