Can people predict the end of the world?
No there would be nowhere to go in the worlds end.
Answer:This question has been asked, I'm sure, time and again. I suspect many who have experienced catastrophic events have wondered if it was worth surviving. consider what the survivors of Pompeii must have felt. Or perhaps those who lived near enough to survive the 1883 eruption of Krakatoa. Think about those who survived the Holocausts of WW1 and WW2 (Turkey and Europe at large, respectively). Let's go way back in history, to about 50,000 years ago, when there were only about 200,000 humans worldwide. The events that led to the near extinction of the human race then must have left many of the survivors wondering if it were worth it. Yet, people did escape what ever it was that was so catastrophic, and kept on going. With nearly 7 billion of us on this planet, it is extremely unlikely that anything will take everyone out. Some will invariably survive.

Why are people saying the end of the world is on March 11 2011?
There are currently 9 failed predictions of the Rapture. 2 predictions say that the world will end October 21,2011 and another prediction is in 2060. The reason they predict the Rapture due to complicated calculations. It's rather hard to explain. Harold camping predicted the world ending in 1994, which led to the Great Disappointment. He's also the one who predicted it would end may 21. He's 89 years old ... so that may explain a lot lol.
But no one can predict the Rapture because it's meant to be unknown. Jesus doesn't even know when it's going to come. "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only"

The world will end in five or six billion years. The Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012. Not 2011. DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE MAYAN CALENDAR. My Spanish teacher told me that it was accurate. I don't believe this. On New Years Eve when that ball drops don't expect a 9 point something earthquake to happen.... Or a tsunami or something. HERE IS YOUR FINAL ANSWER: the world will end in five billion years. That doesn't even matter anyway because you'll be dead already. Stop worrying NOW. Start appreciating your life now before it ends!
At the rate the world is eating cheeseburgers. Probably. The world will get soo heavy then it will just fall out of orbit and we will just start falling in space. This will start to freeze the world and people and Mcdonalds would not be able to start their grills to make burgers. People will die either from burger deprivation or being poisoned from uncooked meat. When these fat people start falling over they will crush the perfectly healthy people. humanity will end.

Because they have ended the calendar at 2012, so they worry this would mean the earth would fall apart at the very end of 2012. But I do NOT believe this theory because the year i was born they said the world would end. I'm still alive aren't I?Yes.

No one really knows when the world will end or man will become extinct. We could be wiped out tomorrow if a big hunk of space rock happened to hit us. A big flare from the sun could wipe the planet clean at any time. Or we could keep going on and on into the future.

Some old roman calenders end in the year 2012, but that does not mean that is when the world is going to end. The person who made the old roman calenders, wrote those over 100 years ago. How would he be able to tell when the world is going to end? He wouldn't.

they do such funny predictions like this, because they crave for attention, wanting young people getting scared, etc.
Don't worry about the world ending, people said it would end in 2000, but it didn't. now they are saying that 2012 is the end of the world date, but it didn't happen. No one knows, except for Our Father.
People that say that the world will end, got the date wrong. it could happen tomorrow, or even today. we never know. Hopefully this helps for everyone to stop being scared of people making predictions, like this scary one. it scared me at first, but i made sure. I was happy that the world wouldn't end, because it ISN'T THIS YEAR. so live your life, a happy one.

No one knows quite when the world will end, yet the thought of it ending in 5 billion years is not really that relevant since obviously neither you nor I will ever live that long to see if it is true or not. :)

Just think back to olden days, they had no computers. We depend on computers for research and gaining extra knowledge. No computers will means reading books for knowledge, storing information on paper and using filing for database work. In my eyes, if we had no computers, companies will not be what they are.

I don't think so. Many times in the past, groups of people have claimed the world will end on such a date - but we are still here! One day the world will eventually end, but not in my life time. I think I still have time to pay off my house mortgage!
