However the Decepticons try and stop them and while trying to get to optimus sam dies from an explosion. But then he has a sort of outer body experience where he meets the primes who sacrificed themselves to stop the fallen and they say the matrix is earned not received. They bring him back to life and give him the matrix and sam combines it with optimis' spark. He is just getting up when the fallen rips the matrix from him and optimus falls. But one of the older transformers gives optimus his parts and optimus kills the fallen and defeats megatron and starscream

There was no sequel. After the movie came the series that did not do as well as expected. I think a lot of ppl tuned out after the death of Optimus Prime, but that is just my opinion. I luv all the shows and wish i had them on DVD. There are 2 seasons of shows beefore Optimus died and 1 season and a part of a season after he died. Rodimus Prime was kewl and all but he was no Optimus.
